Samos Palace — Restaurant in Heerlen

We have spent four nights here, it was very nice and clean, with a definite Greek style influence. The lounge and kitchen area are very spacious and comfortable with views if the street below. |Despite being situated above a restaurant, it was very quiet and there was no noise from the streets below, although we heard the church bells in the morning, which I liked.|For those who are less able, be aware that the entrance to the apartment is up two steep flights of stairs.|It should also be noted that the apartment is rented out by room, so you may be required to share the space.|We were locked out of the apartment by someone who had left their set if keys in the apartment door, thankfully they realised after a few minutes of us knocking and asking to be let in that we were not the police or burglars, but their roommates! |Other than that we found the beds very comfortable and the bathroom and shower very nice and warm....

Gisteren een teamuitje van het werk. Ca. 20 personen. We mochten kiezen uit 3 à 4 gerechten, anders kon de keuken het niet aan. Begrijpelijk. Het eten was middelmatig. 1 collega was helemaal niet tevreden, maar kreeg een leuk toetje als compensatie. De ober was erg gezellig en hield de sfeer erin. Mijn koffie werd half vol door een heel chagrijnig meisje weg gepakt. Maar helaas had ik dat niet snel in de gaten. Het afrekenen....nou nou! Het chagrijnige meisje komt bij ons aan tafel zitten, maar er gebeurd niks. Kunnen we apart afrekenen? kunnen we pinnen? Geen antwoord. De mensen met contant hebben toen bij elkaar gelegd en de mensen die wilden pinnen konden bij de baas betalen. Een collega sprak de baas (Babi) aan over het vervelende gedrag van het personeelslid. Hij ging hiermee in discussie. Grotendeels van de groep stond al buiten en het chagrijnige meisje komt bij ons staan met de armen over elkaar en zegt dat er te weinig betaald is. Hoeveel? Kon ze niet meteen zeggen...€100-€120. Huh? Dat kon echt niet kloppen. Ze bleef met de armen over elkaar staan. De arrogante baas (Babi) komt naar buiten en begint weer te discussiëren. Een collega reageerde hier iets te heftig op, waardoor hij nog harder begon te schreeuwen. Ging heel intimiderend voor haar staan. Midden op straat!!! Ze moest haar bek houden. Erg onprofessioneel en behoorlijk asociaal. Uiteindelijk klopten de cijfers wel, maar wij komen hier...
