AfghanFresh — Restaurant in Leeuwarden

Went to eat in person, we got a separate english menu, which is fine, and it had the "home lounge menu for 2 people" for 80 euros, while im seeing tonight, on Thuisbezorgd, its 53 euros!!!

Everything we ordered from the english menu costs more there than on Thuisbezorgd. The mantoe was 25€, while its 16 for house delivery. Whats the point? I feel like they dont want to hold guests in person...

Seems like they ripped us off, just because they thought we are tourists. Service and ambience was otherwise kind, food was decent too, but it is a joke, that as an inhouse guest im paying almost 30 euros more for the same food!

Update: After the owners response I have adjusted my rating but left the original review unedited. I still feel like the nearly 30 euros difference is unjustified, especially since the home lounge has almost the same components (salad, afghan bread, chutney, etc.)

Its good food and the owners do seem to care about the place, it just might be more worth it to order online with the price...

As an afghan I wouldn’t consider this as authentic afghan food. Although presentation was good the taste and quality was below average. Definitely not worth the price. It took over 40 mins for the food to come and there was no Appetizers. Staff were unaware of the ac function and menu so we had to wait for the owner. In the end the food was not fresh especially the rice it was stale. Just adding to my previous message:Thank you for your response however the quantity was not the issue rather than it was the quality . I am amazed that within minutes of your response to me a number of people have five star reviews to your restaurant which definitely is false and from fake accounts. If you are so confident about your service and food then let the real customers give their feedback and work on it so you can succeed. We fell for the fake reviews also and wasted our time and money to visit based on the high reviews and now I figured how come the rating...

Extremely disappointed - actually, disgusted - by this restaurant.

Food was quite disappointing for the price, taste was not particularly good, portions were small - even though there were a few different things included, it did not feel like it matched the 80 Euro price tag. Charged extra for tap water - is that even legal? I definitely couldn't recommend based on the food alone BUT

The main reason I am inspired to write this review is that when we asked to pack our remainders to take home, they squashed everything together into one single container! That is multiple different curries, rice, vegetables all mashed together like dog food! 20 or 30 euros worth of food unceremoniously dumped into a slurry by some lazy waitress. What a disappointment! Actually, I even feel scammed....
