Saray Turks Restaurant — Restaurant in Leeuwarden

We ordered "6 course" dinner for 2 persons, which was quite expensive (67.9 euro). We got 3 small starters, 1 medium size starter, main dish and dessert. All of these was served in incredibly long time of 3 hours and 20 min, which ruined our plans for that evening. When we asked to served dishes faster in a response we heard that this "6 course" dinner and it takes time. But there are 4 starters?? All salty courses were tasteless, and 4 out of 5 consisted of the same watery tomato sauce, which tasted like someone added to much water to the Konor powder. Finaly, the dessert was barely eatable, cheap ice creams and some tiramisu with chemical taste. Although we were seating far away from the kitchen all our clothes soaked with the kitchen smell. Next day we both had stomach problems. Taking into account the price and quality, this was one big joke and waste of money and time. At least staff was nice, but anyway, never...

Great place for turkish food. This is the third time we have come here and it has been very pleasant to eat here. The main dishes come in very nice portions and the food usually tastes really great, although a bit more seasoning would be welcome. The sides you get with the main courses are a bit underwhelming, where the rice doesn't have much flavour and the coleslaw seems like a very dutch option on the side. The fries are good though.

One main course that was rather dissapointing for the price point of 25,95€ was the Kuzu Pirzola. For that price point I was expecting some larger portions, especially compared to other dishes.

The dessert and drinks options are not very broad, but what you get is definetely more than fine.

Other than that, it is a great place to come to, with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, would definetely...

Not recommended, please stay away from this place! Slow service, cold food, bugs and fleas everywhere (without kidding), and last but certainly not least, the strangest meat (of every kind) I've ever eaten. It was raw, cold and unbearable. To further my frustration, unfortunately, we weren't helped enough to calm us down afterwards. The customer experience was horrible. The only nice thing may be that the building was nicely decorated, but really that was all.

I will never return and I will warn everyone to never visit this restaurant. Such a shame.
