Buitengewoon Leidschendam — Restaurant in Leidschendam-Voorburg

We were on a hiking tour and just happened in here. The manager was so helpful. He outlined the options on the menu which had such good options from the lunch special to warm and cold lunch options. The food was very good, bread excellent, and we enjoyed eating at the front looking out over the canal. In reviewing the remaining distance we had, I realized I had taken us far off our route. The manager helped problem solve getting us to our destination hotel via Uber - texting the driver in Dutch our exact location. As we were leaving he introduced to his mother who had come in to say hello and give him a hug. We enjoyed the smile of fate in happening in to lunch here with the very helpful manager...

We only had beers and fries but we were disappointed by the poor beer choice (only Heineken...) and we had to remind the waiters twice to bring us the fries. I also ordered a second beer but after waiting for 20' I decided to go home. Prices...

Buiten gewoon.....tja. Buiten gewone minder goede ervaring.( en dat is misschien nog mild uitgedrukt).Gegeten op terras. Varkenshaas medaillons wilde we graag medium.....doorgeslagen. Net zoals de biefstuk: ook doorgeslagen. Kip teriyaki rijst ontbrak. Verder een prima gerecht. Geen nagerecht maar koffie besteld. Medewerkster kwam om 20.40 uur alvast afrekenen met de mededeling: wilde u graag nog vragen of u nog koffie wilde opnieuw, maar de machine is al schoon!! Op de vraag: jullie sluiten toch pas om 21.30 uur kwam het antwoord: Nou dat ligt er aan.....??? Later verdween eigenaar??? al.... Demonstratief werd een deel van het terras "opgeruimd". ( 20.50)....dan voel je gast géén gastvrijheid. Gemiste...
