Dragon Town — Restaurant in Lisse

This was the worst part of my holiday in the Netherlands. Went to this restaurant for dinner, following the online rates. It was busy, but in my whole long life, I never had to wait nearly 2 hours for average first courses. And I had 2 kids with me. Another 50 min for main courses. No apologies, no discount on the bill, nothing. We got there at 6.45pm and left at 10pm. Staff were dismissive when we asked how long the wait would be, and we had to travel 2 hours to get to our next destination. Worst dinning experience ever. There is another Chinese restaurant around the corner, that is very quick and the food is equally as good. Just does not have as many tables. Definitely go yo the other restaurant. Avoid this place...

Tried the restuarant for the first time today.

The shrimp Dim sum appetizer was served with a chili sauce that was so hot that you could not taste the rest of the Dim Sum dish any more (why serve it with such a hot sauce in the first place??).

The folowing salmon poké bowl was ok, but nothing special. The folowing sushi taster only got us 7 pieces of bland sushi for 22 euro (you pay a lot for a little) so we had to order an extra round of Spicy Ebi Maki rol to actualy get a decent amount of food. This rol was however spiced to such a degree that you could not taste the actual sushi anymore..

This dinner was a truly weird and rather expensive experience for the actual amount of (mostly) to bland or to spicy food...

My family and I were so hungry that we suddenly decided to try this restaurant. We had never been there before, so we asked for options. The waiter, who looked annoyed, "explained" the menu to us. We decided to order a combo platter with several dishes, including bami. Unfortunately, my daughter found a spider in her plate. Because our hunger, we set the bami aside and ate the rest. We informed the waiter, but he simply removed the spider without saying a word. We paid for our meal and even left a tip, as it's customary in my culture. However, I have to say that while the food was okay and plentiful, the overall the experience was...
