Freddy's — Restaurant in Nijmegen

Do you want to get an awesome burger? Then it's a must to visit this place. One of the great burgers I ever had.

Quality and variaton of the food: This place have a menu with a couple steady dishes. Besides the menu card, they also have an chalkboard with variation of other menus. For some little extra money, you can also get the dish as a complete menu with sidedishes (french fries, salad and grilled corn). This time I ordered an good ol' black angus burger, preferred by the waiter. In my humble opinion the burger was top-notch. The meat was juicy and had a great flavour. The french fries were great (no aftertaste of old oil) and the salad gave a fresh flavour to the whole story.

Service The service was great. They were very attentive and friendly. They're also very open for question and you don't have to wait long. They also know their stuff that they're selling.

Ambient Although the place is not huge, but it's big enough for many people to have a seat. The business idea is give a feeling of the 70' and it quite hits it well. The music is enjoyable and not too loud, so you can still hear your friends or partner without rising your voice too much.

Price Food and drinks are in normale range. Also quite affordable for the students! This place also offers a great variation of beers and also their own brewed beer!

All in all, a place which have to be seen if you're visiting this city.

Extra: The restaurant aims to serve food that is organic...

Smoothie " Mango and ananas " - taste like the actual fruit, but the pineapple is too strong, I can't taste the mango. Feels like they also put the green parts of the ananas in the smoothie.

The onion rings - they are delicious. They came whit a little souce. It tastes good I liek it. The only problem is that they are sticking together and when you try to separate them they break, but because they are so delicious I don't care

The burger - the burger is good, maybe the buns are a little bit dry, but the bun is a little crunchy and it not ripping apart which is very nice. The meat taste like a real meat and not cheap one. Maybe more souce on the burger? But I don't know, maybe it's just because the buns is dry.

Cheesecake - wow, it's delicious. The cheesecake wasn't frozen. It hascitrust drizzle whic is a amazing touch whit a little shopped strawberry on top. It thck and creamy.

The music is amazing and the decor is too, maybe a little bit of higher tables, but the decor fits the songs whic is making the atmosphere really cozzy and relaxed. The staff is also very friendly and nice....

Zag er veelbelovend uit, maar de service was heel erg onvriendelijk en koud. We waren met z’n vieren en kwamen speciaal uit Amsterdam, Utrecht en Nijmegen omdat we de menukaart online heel leuk hadden gevonden. Toen we aankwamen kregen we een plek toegewezen en bleven we bijna 10 minuten met vuile borden, saus, bestek etc voor ons wachten, wat niet smakelijk was en ook niet handig als je een menukaart op tafel wil openen. Dat vonden we niet zo erg, maar toen de serveerster aankwam was ze heel erg haastig om meteen onze bestellingen op te nemen, zonder eerst te zorgen dat onze eetplek schoon was. Toen wij hadden gevraagd of de tafel schoongemaakt kon worden voordat we zouden bestellen werd ze niet blij. Ze nam de borden weg, maar leek erg geïrriteerd door ons verzoek en stuurde daarna een andere collega om ons verder te helpen. Helaas voelde de hele sfeer daarna met de andere collega hierdoor erg ongemakkelijk en werden we na de drankjes niet meer aandachtig geholpen, ongeacht dat het niet druk was en we nog moesten bestellen. Hierdoor besloten wij de drankjes af te rekenen en weg te gaan, maar ook bij het afrekenen vonden we het raar dat er niet eens een vraag was van de staff waarom we opeens wilden vertrekken of uitleg waarom het zo lang duurde. Kortom, we voelden oms nog meer onwelkom.

Uiteindelijk gingen we naar Wally Burger iets verderop waar het eten fantastisch is en de service (al een paar jaar) uitstekend is! ❤️
