It’s disappointed that the mussel festival is cancelled and we came for nothing! Sadly the information about the festival is still on the website, people were not well informed at all. The service of this place is not friendly, when we sit at the table where the whole place is quite empty, we’ve been told that table is reserved and we need to leave. Plus the lady at the bar refuse to offer some tap water just so I can make milk to feed the baby, I’ve been told to get water from the toilet. The tour guide is a total spam. It’s a tour of 1.5 hour and it’s introduced as we can see lobster, Oyster and mussels. Waste of 9 euro per person that we indeed saw these things but as dead shells and 2half dead lobster from the restaurant water tank. This is a pure spam and animal abuse. We didn’t expect this to happen in a dutch town. Disappointment on every level, rude people, spam tour guid and poor festive...

We ate on the terrace (self-service) so i only speak to this experience. One of the few things we enjoyed was the sun. Heavy, oily batter and everything is fried. We asked for napkins and got two thin ones, for 3 people. As there is no cutlery and you’re expected to eat with hands, you’d appreciate a couple per person to clean up properly. People on the next table asked for a paper bag to make their own doggie bag and were first questioned what they order, why they’ve not finished and for how many people they ordered as they usually don’t give paper bags away.

Fast food: mediocre at best Service: leaves much to be desired

The only positive thing is that they allow dogs, even if you opt for...

Good food, fresh oysters, but slow service.

We came with no reservation, and waited until one of the staff mentioned we could sit and lead us to the table. Once we got ready to order, another lady from the staff came to the table and mentioned we should not have sat there, since another couple (who was eating at the counter) was first - even though we didn’t choose the table. We kindly agreed and waited a couple more minutes for another table, until the lady said we could sit.

The food is fresh and savory, and definitely worth the chance.

The only downside is the waiting time to be served, as it took a full hour in between dishes. Other than that it’s a nice place to have...

The restaurant is simple and pleasant with a nice view on the bay. The service is horrible. The waiters were unpleasant both in English and Dutch languages. It took more than an hour to be served. After my complaint the waiters just said the kitchen was busy (the restaurant was half empty), no apologies for the delay or any sign or speeding up. The food was very good. The tuna stake was cooked perfectly, roasted outside and tender inside. The mussels could almost melt in the mouth with a nice flavor (natural, beer, wine). Fries well deep-fried and good selection of sauces. A one due to bad service otherwise it would be a much higher score.

In the meantime this place became one of our favorites. Good tasty food and friendly service. Dessert, dame blanche, forgot to take a picture, was served in a plate with a rough surface that makes a disturbing grinding sound when scooping ice cream... very annoying when you try to get the last bits of ice cream and chocolate sauce from you plate. 😒. In my point of view those plates shouldn't be used anymore.
