Disappointed and quite rude.
As someone who worked in “all you can eat” restaurant before, the service is terrible. No one explained anything how it worked when we entered the restaurant; no explanation that changing plate more than once would cost extra; no explanation how many hours we have (the owner claimed that we should have known it by ourselves when booking; but if we book by phone, how could we know then?) The story started at 8pm (we arrived at 5:15pm, booking at 5pm). The owner came to us several times and claimed that we have been sitting here for more than 3 hours and claimed that it is clear on the website that we only have 2.5 hours. I explained that the message was not so clear as I don’t know if we only have 2.5 hours to ORDER or to SIT. And I questioned him if this is a Monday night, would he do the same? He did not give an answer. I believe the silence speaks for itself. Besides, we have asked one employee around 7pm when she approached to us and told us that this is our last round to order. We asked if we could still sit here after the last round and she told us that we could sit as long as we want but this is the last round to order the food (not the ice cream).
I totally understand that they have more customers coming and they want to make sure that the table is ready for the later-coming customer. Thus, we immediately turn on the BBQ plate at the maximum scale and cooked everything. We just want to finish everything and leave, then the table could be ready. But the owner kept coming to us again and again……
The owner saw my review and came to apologize to us. Apology accepted, but honestly, it still leaves the bad taste since we came all the way from Maastricht for this restaurant🤡🤡( we are huge foodies).
For the food wise, some dishes are really good and it also offers a good variety. In general, they are all pretty salty😅 (but I like salty food, if you don’t, this restaurant is not for you). Read moreI booked a dinner for three adults and a five year old child on Saturday afternoon. This restaurant works with fixed timeslots and I booked one as of 17:30h giving us time for dinner until 20:00h. Moreover, this restaurant requires a downpayment of 10 eur per person, so in our case it was 40 eur we had to pay upon making a reservation. Unfortunately, due to traffic we were 15 minutes late. The restaurant gave our table away immediatelly and offered only an option for us to sit at the bar on high chairs without any guarantee whether they will be able to find a table for us eventually. My wife is pregnant and the child is five years old which meant that this was by no means a viable option for us to have dinner. They did not even offer to us to refund the 40 eur downpayment and they only and bordeline unwillingly complied to refund us via a cumbersome process of requesting our refund by e-mail. Normally this is what most restaurants do immediatelly in the Netherlands via an immediate refund. I can only conclude the following and that is that they are overly concerned about how to make as much money as possible without any regard for customer. I will tell you about my experience: We were 6 of us at the table and you can only order 18 dishes per round; each person at our table could order three dishes per round then. The only vegetarian options there were basically Sushi, and each serving of Sushi was 3 small pieces of maki (and in some rounds i only receive 2 pieces). In addition to the sushi, there were spring rolls, but there was no strong or large vegetarian dish. It was difficult for me being a vegetarian to accompany my friends. More vegetarian dishes are needed and the sushi portions are expanded to 4 pieces per serving or more. It would be nice to better specify the vegetarian dishes in the online menu. It wasn't entirely clear to me. they should have a section of all vegetarian dishes together . For now, I do not recommend this place to vegetarians. very few options and small portions.
