Sohmi — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I decided to try the noddles here and was really disappointed. First, the service is quite slow since there are only 2 people (1 on noodles, 1 on rice) and one of them is also the cashier and takes orders. During lunch rush you will be waiting quite a bit for your turn and for it to be done. Then the food. You expect the miso soup to have a lot of flavor, but it was so bland it was insane. The cup has a decent amount of chicken but because it's from the one you see cut up already, there are pieces that have dried up. There are a lot of noodles, some cabbage, bean sprouts and carrots. Mondaylunch , foodplaza , Erasmus university , healthbowl , miso soup , earth water . Located at the campus of the Erasmus University this socialled “asian streetfood” deli wich in reality is just a marketing slogan to lure unknowing guests in . The staff is turkish , as are all deli’s inside the Foodplaza . The ordered miso soup with veggies and tofu was a disgrace ! Salty , thick and not even slightly tasteful . A €0,25 supermarket “cup o soup” would taste the better . No , this has nothing to do with real traditional asian streetfood , but pure with marketing slogans and high prices . I ate here twice. The first time, not so good with stir fried noodles. The second time, highly recommend this combo: sushi rice, salmon, crab sticks, seaweed salad, mango mayo, nori seaweed, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds. The combo is fresh. Don’t forget to add more pepper by yourself to help balance yin and yang!
