Tapperie de Gats — Restaurant in Sittard-Geleen

Really bad communication. I sent them an email 1 week prior to make a reservation. They did not reply until 4 days later. I replied immediately, but no follow up for confirmation. I waited until the day before my requested date, still no reply. I called them and they told me they could not make the reservation for me. This is terrible customer server and really bad communication. Definitely will not come to this place.

Edit: The owner called me not long after I wrote the review to apologize and explained the reasons. I think the restaurant should still have contacted me earlier. It shouldn't take me to leave a bad review for a response. But I appreciate his effort. For that, I think I will give it...

Cute little bar/cafe in the heart of Sittard. The bar guys were nice and attentive. I loved my dinner: zuurvlees (local specialty of this region) with thick fries, real mayo, apple sauce and a big bowl of lettuce. Great meal for just 15€! My cocktail, Caribbean Oktoberfest, was also yummy 😋

I wasn't a very big fan of the decoration: lots of dark brown wood, shorts (or lederhosen?) hanging from the ceiling and in another section a bunch of tankards. And i was disappointed to come back later in the evening, a bit after 22h, to find out they...

I've left a review for de Gats on TripAdvisor but I figured I would leave one here as well. It is easily one of our favorite bars.

The beer selection is awesome, the food is good, and the service is great. Frank takes very good care of his customers and ensures everything is ok.

The atmosphere inside is unique and outside is a beautiful view of the centrum. A great place to hang out and have a good evening.
