The only thing that soured the evening was the Suriname place. Their board shows 10 cheese sticks for €8, but when my husband ordered, she told him it was €10. He said okay and came back to me about it as he has difficulty with social interactions (my fault for letting him order alone). I quickly went back to her to ask why the price jumped up and she says it's the old prices advertised on the board. I noticed she dropped 3 of them in the oil and she says "I mean, I can give you the money back." I said that'd be great, yes, please. She then puts down the bag, looks at me, smacks her lips and says "I already dropped them sorry" and tosses the rest in. Are you serious? #1 don't falsely advertise. #2 don't lie to my face offering to refund from your false advertisement and rudely throw the whole order in to be facetious.
The Mexican and Lebanese restaurants were AMAZING! They know what flavour is. 👏🏿
IF we come back, we'll be sure to stay away from the Suriname place with their deceptions and rudeness. Unbelievable! Buy cheese sticks at the Burgers and Freaking Fries place. They don't bait...
Read moreCame here on a Thursday at 3 pm to eat. It was nearly empty and stalls were not being minded. It felt like they were trying to close down. Nobody had food ready.
I wanted to try this out on a Sunday, but it is closed! This seems strange because it is behind Den Haag Centraal station and the National archives and the Kinderboek museum are open on some Sundays and the station itself doesn’t have a lot of sit down dining choices.
Anyway, back to my story. I ate at Bohica. It was a reluctant service experience where I was told I would have to wait 5 or 6 minutes for the tabbouleh. Okay, my reply.
You have to buy beverages at one of the bar locations. The bar seems to be the only area that stays open.
The managers were going around checking the cashier points. I overheard a few conversations with nervous employees. Everyone seems on edge.
My food was okay. The tabbouleh was fresh. The felafels were hot. The hummus was watery and didn’t have a lot of spice.
It was an empty building, outside when I exited, there were more people on the terrace, so maybe the later hours...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this place. But i think the pandemic has hit it more than any other place in The Hague. I went here with around 16 people. Hoping that a place like this would fit all of us outside on a nice summer day. The drinks were OK, the bar and wait staff were good too. But THE FOOD, OMG THE FOOD. It was so bad. And i mean BAD BAD. What are the chances that 16 people eat from many different places and all of them were served terrible food. The only saving grace was the burger place, and that was "OK" according to my friends. Let me break it down to you in a simple way -Thai place: dry chicken phad thai and lacked flavor -Kenyan stand: pre cooked frozen chicken. The center of the chicken was frozen and the outside was cooked to hell and dry. The goat curry was 95% bone and 5% meat. And 95% of that 5% of meat was fat. -the Indonesian stand served me precooked microwaved chicken sate that was so sour that i was honestly worried i was gonna get sick from it. I took two bites and...
