Meli Bistro — Restaurant in The Hague

Meli Mediterranean Bistro doesn’t just serve gorgeous lunch dishes – the service is equally impeccable. The hostess greeted us with a genuine smile and warmth that instantly made us feel welcome. What really stood out was one of the very first things she asked: “Do you have any dietary requirements I should be aware of?” A thoughtful touch, and she addressed our needs personally, without ever seeming rushed, even as the place steadily filled up.

My friend opted for the eggs while I went for the carpaccio on sour bread – both absolutely delicious. The portions were perfect for lunch: satisfying without leaving you uncomfortably full, and leaving just enough room should you fancy a little something extra. We couldn’t help but eye the table next to us – they had the feta and aubergine, along with another aubergine dish that looked utterly mouth-watering. The desserts were also a real temptation – freshly prepared and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be going back to try them all!

What a wonderful find! Was originally going to a different spot in the same street to meet a friend. Since there was no seats available, I decided to go next door since I liked the vibe of the place. It was the best decision, was greeted by a lovely staff and felt really taken care of.

I ordered a beef carpaccio tartine, it was very tasty and really filling as well! Pretty heavy on parmesan cheese but easy to get it off if needed.

We’ve spent a few hours talking and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We also had an incredible Moroccan mint tea.

Highly recommend visiting, it’s definitely a gem! I’ll be back as soon as I visit...

i randomly discovered this restaurant in The Hague and was pleasantly surprised to find out it’s owned by a Cypriot (my home country). and his wife was also amazing, we chatted, laughed, and felt genuinely welcomed for the first couple of minutes! the food was absolutely amazing, so good that i went back again the next day! yesterday i tried the carpaccio which was incredible, and the eggplant dish was just outstanding. today we enjoyed some wine with olives and feta as well, which made the experience even better. cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and truly delicious food. definitely worth visiting more than once! my new...
