Restaurant Suus is a beautifully decorated place with a warm and inviting atmosphere a real treat to walk into. The interior design feels thoughtfully curated, adding to the overall dining experience. I also appreciated the view from our table, which gave the restaurant a more open and relaxed feel.
Service was excellent: our waiter was friendly, attentive, and impressively quick and efficient. The food arrived on time, and I was especially pleased with my steak cooked just right and prepared exactly as I had requested. It’s always a good sign when a kitchen pays close attention to specific instructions.
That said, there were a couple of things that left room for improvement. The dessert portions were on the smaller side, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the menu is quite limited, it would be nice to see a bit more variety, especially given the otherwise upscale presentation.
Finally, while the coffee was serviceable, it came from a machine rather than being made by a barista. For a restaurant that otherwise aims for a high-end experience, this felt a bit out of place.
All in all, Restaurant Suus delivers a lovely atmosphere, quality food, and excellent service with just a few areas that could use some fine-tuning. I’d still recommend it, especially for a relaxed...
Read moreWe went to Suus for their brunch. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match at all the great atmosphere and the good service. While we were almost the only customers we still had to wait quite a bit to be served our food (but nothing extraordinary for Dutch standards and we were offered very good coffees on the house to compensate for the delay, which was much for appreciated). Regarding the food, we ordered eggs benedict, eggs royal and a waffle: all the poached eggs were hard boiled, the hollandaise sauce was so sour that we had to scrap it off to be able to eat the rest of the dish. Finally, the waffle tasted exactly like (and we suspect in fact was) a 0.99cts waffle from Albert Heijn which is very disappointing for a dish charged 12 euros and considering that making fresh waffles is a child's play and would make all the difference.
The place opened fairly recently so there is a lot of room for improvement. Please let us know if you ever decide to make your waffle fresh from scratch and we will...
Read moreLoved the ambiance, food and attentiveness of the staff (this is really something). They also got the acoustics right - while the restaurant was busy, it did not bother our personal conversation at all. As a vegetarian I had the cauliflower dish which was really on point and showed that a vegetable can be a main dish! The staff was so attentive and the sommelier really helped my friend pick out the best wine for her. As a non-drinker myself, she also ensured she gave me a sophisticated experience by choosing to pouring my softdrink in a wine glass and for my second drinks order I was surprised and upgraded to a non-alcoholic spirit - VAN SHA with ginger beer. Leave some room for dessert because it's delicious! Certainly recommend this restaurant and also a plus is the parking availability In front of the...
