A beautiful cat café with incredibly kind and welcoming staff! My dad, sister, and I visited because we're huge cat lovers, and I’m so happy to say that this place exceeded all our expectations.
Before visiting, make sure to book a time slot on their website!
The café is tidy, cozy, and visually stunning. It has a charming aesthetic with lovely cat-themed decorations—cat stickers, pillows, fake flowers and leaves—that make the whole space feel warm. There are also toys available so you can play with kitties! One of the most special things was a little diary featuring all the resident cats. It includes their names, how to tell the black and white cats apart (since there are a few similar ones!), their individual stories, and even details about their personalities. It was incredibly heartwarming to read, especially knowing that all of these cats are rescued and that the café continues to support stray cats in Cyprus through donations.
A sweet moment for me was when I sat on the couch and a cuddly cat named Snickers immediately climbed into my lap and fell asleep 🥰
As for the food and drinks—delicious! I had an iced caramel latte, which was perfect, and it came with a little biscuit on the side and my sister had hot chocolate. I also had pancakes with banana and Nutella, served with whipped cream and granola, and they were absolutely amazing.
Overall, I’m so glad we visited Kattencafé De Spinnerij in Tilburg. I’m already looking forward to coming back the next time I’m in...
Read moreIf I could have given a zero star rating I would've done so. We were not even greeted when we came in, just asked if we had a reservation. We did not and the lady was already seemingly annoyed by that. We were seated and even though there was only one other table occupied it took them 20 minutes to ask for our order. When we finally received our drinks and cakes we accidentally spilled one coffee and the staff member was very annoyed by it. They didn't even ask us if we wanted to order a new drink and barerly helped us cleaning (even though we did most of the cleaning already ourself) . Because we came with a small child we received what seemed like an interrogation about our child asking if he's wild or not, his age, etc. It seemed like they'd rather not have families with a child visiting even though our son is very quiet and gentle with animals. Because of the poor hospitality and below average food we will never visit again. We will drive to Nijmegen instead where you feel really welcomed by the staff wether you are with...
Read moreWorst place in Tilburg! If you have a baby with a stroller or a wheelchair don’t recommend to go there. We were yelled at the door for taking us 5 seconds to get in, because we had a baby stroller. Apparently, we were supposed to get in without opening the door. There was a middle aged lady with black hair that kept yelling to us for opening the door to bring our babies inside. When we got in, she kept aggressively talking to us showing us where we can seat. Worst hospitality I’ve ever seen. We immediately left, the atmosphere was aggressive. I can’t imagine those people take care of animals with that behavior, poor cats. They are making money keeping the cats locked inside. This is cats prison with mean people working there if you feel comfortable yelling at a mother and a baby imagine what you are doing with those...
