Great modern quinine, dishes to share, amazing quality yet not too fancy and reasonably priced with a focus on local and sustainable produce; best in class chicken or North Sea fish, like the mullet and squid we got. Great vegetarian dishes available as well, like koolrabi with a selection of seaweeds.

If you’re lucky, chefs come and see you at the table for some extra TLC, staff is also knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection of wines they’re well familiar with so feel free to ask for recommendations. They also have the fancy towels at the restroom. Heerlijk gegeten van bijzondere gerechtjes. Van een barhapje tot tussengerechten, die gedeeld werden met tafelgenoten. Bijzondere natuurwijnen en lekkere speciaal bieren. Lekker huisgemaakt ijs als dessert. Het restaurant is smaakvol ingericht en er hangt een ontspannen huiselijke sfeer door de prettige bediening. Een aanwinst voor Tilburg. Zeker ook als lunch gelegenheid aan te bevelen. We komen heel graag nog een keer langs.

Update: Vandaag ook geluncht bij Gist. Gelukkig niet de standaard brood met kroket of iets dergelijks, maar een heus 2 of 3 gangen menu. Heerlijke ajo blanco met asperge, een roodbaarsfilet met pommes fondant en pavlova met heerlijke aardbeien en munt uit de proeftuin 013. Daarnaast een heerlijk witbiertje van Nevel. Alles voor herhaling vatbaar!

Update 25-12-2023: Vandaag een Kerstlunch van 5 gangen met bijpassende wijnen. Stuk voor stuk smaakbommetjes en heerlijke wijnen. Wat een heerlijk restaurant is dit toch!

Update 27-04-2024: Vandaag heerlijk geluncht. Alle snacks uitgeprobeerd en allemaal even lekker. De ansjovis/brioche was super lekker. Daarna de harder / ceviche/ rabarber, wat een smaaksensatie. Ongelofelijk lekker. De koolrabi was de verrassing van de middag. Wist niet dat koolrabi zo lekker kon zijn🥰. Het Geuldallam heerlijk op midden oosten wijze klaargemaakt was fantastisch. Een heerlijke rode wijn uit Italië maakt het af. Bij de koffie een ijswafeltje home made met ijs van beurre noisette. Daarnaast is de bediening zoals altijd gastvrij, meedenkend, vlot...
