Unfortunately Disappointed by the Tilburg Location
My favorite spot in Utrecht, so I visited the Tilburg location with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the customer service.
Upon entering the restaurant, we asked if there was a free table. One of the staff members kindly offered us few options, and we chose a table near the entrance because it was very hot inside. He brought us glasses and cutlery, so we assumed we could place our order soon.
A few moments later, another staff member approached. We thought he was coming to take our order, but instead, he told us to move to a different table, saying the one we had chosen was "too big" for just two people. We explained that we were seated there by another waiter and that we preferred that spot because it was near the door. However, he insisted we move, saying “it’s not far” and showing no willingness to understand our perspective.
This interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, and as a result, my partner and I decided to leave...
Read moreWe’ve been fans of Pizza Beppe from their other locations, so when we spontaneously decided to grab a pizza in Tilburg, we were happy to find a Pizza Beppe right in the city center. It was our first visit to this location, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the location manager. After confirming that the pizzaioli were Italians (as in their other locations), we settled in, placed our order, and received our pizzas very quickly. We were dining with two kids, and the manager went out of his way to bring coloring materials to keep them entertained, a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. To our surprise, we discovered that this location had only opened a few days earlier! With such great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and of course, their delicious pizzas, we’re confident they’ll thrive just as much, if not more, than their larger locations in Amsterdam or Utrecht. Highly...
Read moreWe wanted to go for a good Neapolitan pizza, so we booked a table for two at Beppe.
When we arrived, we got a friendly greeting from the staff. We got a table near the back end of the restaurant. For me, it was a tiny bit too tight (too close to the wall). The back of the restaurant is also not as cosy as the front (hence three stars on the atmosphere).
The food was fantastic. We got the meatballs with focaccia as starters (dip the focaccia in the tomato sauce, you won't regret it). Both my wife and I took our own pizza. The size is good, the toppings are diverse and tasty. You can also build your own pizza if you so desire. If you don't like thin pizzas, this place is probably not for you. If you do like those kinds of pizzas, I highly recommend this place.
Edit: We sat in the front of the restaurant this time. Was much better than last time when it comes to comfort (for...
