Moksi & Tandoori — Restaurant in Utrecht

Exceptionally pleased with the food quality of the lamb roti. Even more pleased though with the service with which they overturned what began as mild annoyance with a mistake being made.

Yesterday evening after coming home from work I decided to order in Surinam food so through thuisbezorgd I found this place.

I ordered the aforementioned lamb roti with an extra roti and a extra 'spekkoek'. The food came in on the short side of the 35-60 min. window given even though I live on the far outskirts of Utrecht. As in turned out however the busyness of the night had given rise to the mistake of my two extra's having been forgotten.

Because of this I phoned upon which I was given the option of credit for future ordering or post delivery of the extra's, I chose the latter and started eating the food which was delivered. The food tasted awesome and is definitely amongst the better quality Surinam food I had. When the post delivery came however I found myself even more pleased because to make up for their mistake they had doubled the amount of 'spekkoek' ordered, included a pack of banana crisps, a coke and added a polite 'sorry' note.

Was my first time ordering here but will definitely repeat based on the food quality and the class and grace with which yesterdays situation was handled.

Alas I cannot say anything about the atmosphere because I was...

Verdict? Definitely worth a try!

Stopped at Moksi, located in Utrecht, and got a roti w/beef to go. He added sambar which made it nice & spicy. 🌶️

I couldn’t see the roti well when he was assembling my order, and I thought he was using a crepe. Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped it later and found it was indeed a roti!!...

Roti is mijn lievelingsgerecht en daar had ik vandaag heel veel zin in. Het was een feestelijke dag en ik had mijn dochter roti beloofd. Ik vroeg of ik mijn rotirol koud mocht mee nemen en ik kreeg een grote mond terug, waardoor ik stil werd. Daarna zag ik dat ze het in bakjes deed en zei nogmaals : Het kan dus zo mee. Ik kreeg een grote mond: Ja ik doe mijn best. Ik was even vergeten dat een van de rollen apart mee moest met mijn dochter, die zou op haar kamer eten. En vroeg of dat apart kon en ik kreeg een grote mond: Had je dat niet eerder kunnen zeggen? Ik zei : maar je had dat ook kunnen vragen...en bovendien (zei ik met al mijn moed bij elkaar geraapt) klink je niet zo vriendelijk. En ik kreeg een grote mond: Ik vind jou ook niet vriendelijk. Ookal had ik nog zoveel zin in die roti, ik ben maar weggelopen en afgedropen. ik ga...
