From the moment we stepped through the doors of Napata Restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. The warm Sudanese hospitality immediately made us feel at home, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance between elegant and welcoming.
The food was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish had depth and authenticity, each bite took us on a journey to Nubian flavours: vibrant spices, fresh ingredients, and beautiful presentation. Their Illy coffee was a treat, tooârich, aromatic, and a lovely way to round off the meal.
What really stood out was how attentive and caring the staff were. They took the time to explain the dishes, answered questions with genuine enthusiasm, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The service made the whole experience feel special, not just a meal but a moment.
Napataâs setting is gorgeous: the dĂŠcor is inviting and stylish, with spaces that are perfect for gathering with friends or family.
I also want to highlight their award as âBest Newcomer Spotlight 2024â and I can see why. Napata delivers originality, flavour, and heart in every aspect. We will definitely come back...
Read moreAbsolutely happy to see Sudaneses cuisine being represented in the Netherlands. We couldnât wait o come all the way from London and to try this Restaurant. Loved the friendly service and atmosphere very homely and welcoming. The food presentation brings you back to Sudan very nostalgic, and most importantly clean.
However, the food unfortunately for us was a hit and miss depending on the dish ordered. The meat dishes we ordered were served quite cold. Especially the Shaiayh was so cold that the oil solidified before we could even finish the first few pieces. Although the food was tasty being served room-temperature food took away from that merit.
The dessert was nice but again you could tell that the basta pastry was old, flaky, dry and not fresh, maybe heating it up would have gave it more moisture.
Thank you for the great service representing Sudan and all the best wishes with your...
Read moreI visited Napata restaurant for the first time and my experience was never short of wonderful. First, the place was very quiet, with Sudanese lovely music being played in the background. The staff welcomed us open-handedly, and we got to know Abdelrahman and Ranya, the owners, who made us feel home by their warm attitude and lovely hospitality. We ordered various Sudanese dishes and they were all fresh. We wholeheartedly liked the Bamya dish along with the Falafel and Agashè dishes. We also ordered Sudanese Basta and tea with milk, which just took us thousands miles back to Sudan when this was a daily habit of us.
Overall, I liked the experience and would highly recommend Napata restaurant to my family and friends. Thanks Abdelrahman and Ranya for making our experience...
