Never been approached so rudely in my life. The place itself is cosy and nice, but don't be misguided by this. The service is incredibly disappointing: we ordered coffees, but after a while we were approached by what we believe was the manager, and when we communicated that we were not hungry at the moment, she specifically said "if somebody comes in that wants to eat, you are out." We were not the only people not eating in that moment, but we were singled out because we were working on our laptops, despite the fact that we were granted the permission to do so just a couple of minutes before. The egg salad, coffee and orange juice was good. Muffin not worth it. Atmosphere was nice however the whole experience was completely deteriorated beyond repair because of the old lady who I believe is the owner/manager. I have never experienced such inhospitable service at a horeca before and she had an attitude that was shocking to have witnessed. All I had asked for was a takeaway muffin and the cost of it, and in return she acted as if I had asked for her to bear my unborn child. We stumbled upon this cafe walking from the Rietveld Schröder House and not only was the location inviting but we were literally invited in by a friendly server. We realized we had already looked this place up before our trip but were happy to find it randomly on our walk! We had a light snack of toasts and their Bounty latte. It was so good we decided to return today for a late breakfast which they serve all day. The Croque and Tuna Melt were delicious. Service is warm and attentive. I envy the locals who can go...
