Parkcafé Utrecht — Restaurant in Utrecht

My boyfriend and I arrived there in hopes of eating some brunch and drinking good coffee. As soon as we sat down, a waitress (who we think is the manager) came and spoke to us in Dutch. We do not speak the language so I politely asked if it would be possible to order in English. To this she replied "The word 'drinks' is the same in every language". We were shocked at this incredibly disrespectful comment and her petty attitude--she looked offended that we did not speak her language. We ordered one latte and one cappuccino, and we were not impressed. We wanted to eat something too, and we asked if they had an English menu, to this she answered with a harsh "no" and did not offer an alternative. She said "you can understand what it says though" and walked away without offering a solution. She refused to help and showed no interest in treating her clients well. After this horribly disrespectful encounter we paid and left; we refused to pay for food at a place where we felt attacked because of not speaking the language. Don't recommend coming to this...

Stopped by to have a koffie, croissant, and juice. The juice and koffie came out right away. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and tasty. The koffie nice and hot. Croissants were brought out. They were hot, but for croissants, too crispy. The jam was a bit disappointing because it was not freshly made, but came in a little packet. Also, I like to have the koffie with the croissant, but it took an unusually long time for the croissant to be served, so the koffie was no longer warm by the time the croissant was served. There are better places for a quick koffie and snack in the neighborhood...

I went there to eat while working,i ordered cappuccino and a meal, but I told the staff I want the meal a bit later and dont prepare it with cappuccino. after about an hour of my stay, they didn't provide my meal and placed a 'Reserved' card on my table, indicating it was reserved and I had to leave. They told me it wasn't a place for working, even though others had been sitting there before me and for longer. This was my first time encountering such extremely rude behavior towards a customer....
