Nice baked goods but the staff get rather easily confused (the bald bearded guy anyway). Brought the wrong drink, which is fine, but when I told him he insisted that's what was keyed in. So I said no problem, I'll just have that and reminded him about my takeaway pastry too. Five minutes later, he sheepishly brings my right drink, says nothing and brings the pastry on a plate to have there. Where Vlaamsch Broodhuys shines is with their freshly baked breads and pastries. Huge, thick and delicious. It’s my go-to bakery for when I’m preparing a fancier breakfast for guests or a special occasion. The cinnamon buns and little singe portion cakes are excellent. I also can highly recommend their spreads: the truffle-egg and “boeren” chicken are my personal favorite.

I went here for the high tea and while we did get a lot of tea, sandwiches, scones, and cakes, I don't think I'd get it again. We had to wait quite a while to be seated, although we were right on time for our reservation. The price was alright, but we got four large sandwhiches with different types of salads, two of which were fish. The brownie they served us was incredibly dense and hard to get through.
