Experienced very poor service when we ate here. Ordered a burger with fries on the side. When the burger was served the side was not. No problem because we all forget something sometimes. Asked the staff about the status. They apologized and said they were going to bring it. Unfortunately they did not keep their promise and the missing side never came. Later we asked for the bill and were told we would get it. After waiting for approx. 15 minutes without bill we asked a second time and summarized our poor experience. On our way to Amsterdam, we stopped in Venlo for lunch and discovered Burgers & Beers – an absolute gem! We sat next to the bar, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The burgers were phenomenal – juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality.

What made it even better was the bartender. Sitting so close, we got to see how attentive and friendly he was, not just to us but to everyone. It’s nice that they offer gluten free bread, but sadly it doesn’t taste that good. I also like that there’s three options of (seemingly) homemade veggie burgers, but my lentil burger was very mushy and fell apart, taste was ok. I’ve just had higher expectations after reading all the awesome reviews. However, the sweet potato fries were good and the presentation was also really nice. We did have to wait for like 40 mins to get our burgers though and it wasn’t even crowded. My friends who had ‘regular’ burgers also said it was nothing special.
