Harput — Restaurant in Wassenaar

We are a family of 5 from the UK, I had read reviews about this restaurant on Google and Trustpilot as we were staying on the local Druinrell themepark campsite we wanted a local evening meal out. So as the one just outside the park was fully booked I saw this was an option just literally a minute or two further down the road. We took the plunge, tried calling online many times with “number not recognised “ after finally getting through via Facebook number you need to add the +31 and 070 then the 511 7000 , they took my name and how many and was easily booked. Arrived with table reserved. The staff were English speaking took our order. Food was amazing, kids had nuggets and donner meat and chips with ice cream to finish so all sorted . Just a note being the man of the family, they call Donner which is CHICKEN! Meat not Lamb. There is no Lamb meat !! There Donner is chicken not lamb as I wanted to mix the both. This is our 3rd holiday to Duinrell and after eating here on our 1st visit we always make sure we treat ourselves to a couple visits to Harput while staying in Duinrell. The owner/manager is so lovely and always welcomes my children. We were sitting outside earlier in the week and the manager brought out a blanket for my daughter and wrapped her up. So kind and thoughtful. The food is delicious. Lots of choice. The meat is beautifully cooked. I wish we didn't live so far away. I highly recommend Harput. I don't agree with the review of Tony Mahony. Kabāb (arabic) means cut-up meat, either fried in a pan or grilled over a fire. There has never been a limitation of species, so chicken can as well be used for kebab. What we ate today was pretty fresh and made from tasty parts of the chicken. Also adana kebab, made with lamb meat, was very tasty even without too much fat or spices. Side dishes were diverse, original and without too much salt or fat in them. Staff is kind and generous.
