Ubuntu Strandbar — Restaurant in Zandvoort

Ok the place is nice but really we were so disappointed about the service and the booking system…

You have the table for 2 hours but the food is taking more than 45mn to come (apparently chef mistake)

Then you have only 2 hours but you feel a very high pressure to leave you are reminded every 30mns to leave at your timing.

You come to this place to chill have good time good drinks etc but you are actually being stressed out to be sure you leave on time.

They don’t care that you order bottles on bottles and spend high money.

Oysters came in more than 45mn. I ordered one glass of white wine for the oysters but the wine came in 5 mn the oysters in 45mn … so no more wine with the oysters..

The edamame were forgotten and came not cooked.

The table behind us was there before we arrived and stayed after we have been forced to leave - no logic or maybe not the same rules for everyone ??

Manager came to apologies and gave discounts but this does not helped we had to leave with our bottle of wine in our hands (I never seen that in the whole world)

Edit: walking again in front of the restaurant 30mn after being asked to leave the table behind our old table was empty. The 3 girls that were here before we arrived and still here when we have been forced to leave they were still here. So definitely no logic or maybe they give privileges for some people so 1...

Chaos, lacking staff/service, lacking communication (Birthday dinner).

We arrived on time for our reservation which was 5 minutes ahead under my name in the reservation system. Since the table was not ready then, we were seated outside in an area with piles of dirty plates and a lot of trash in the sand. After 30mins+ (no service, piles still there and on other tables). It turned out we were forgotten. Then we were told to wait 5 minutes and that somebody would come to bring us to the table which never happened 20 minutes later, the third time I asked, I was told we were too late and there was no table available, " Sorry guys, but we are very popular. Come another time and book in advance." We were highly irritated the way we were brushed off in an ignorant and arrogant manner which, we had the impression, was a common attitude among most of the staff.

The staff of mainly teenagers seemed untrained and chaotic.

Luckily we could find a nice place where I could have a nice...

We were at Zandvoort and we decided to eat at Kayuca. It was full so we walked further down the beach. We found this restaurant at around 19:00. Here is some things they could improve:

1st Issue

We sat down and the tables chairs and floor was dirty. That makes sense though because it’s later at night.

2nd Issue

When we ordered the food, they didn’t take our order until 19:50 and they didn’t put some of it down, so we had to wait to 21:15 for the rest to come.

3rd Issue

When we cut open the meat, it was raw inside, so we had to wait longer to 21:30 for the cooked food to come.

4th Issue

The risotto which is basically pasta rice was overcooked so it was all squishy and cold.

5th Issue

By the time we finished eating the cold food, it was 22:20.

Conclusion

I don’t know if the restaurant improved or what, but in general I wouldn’t...
