Came in just before lunch time a while ago and asked if they had a table for two available, which they had. They gave us the option to pick a table inside or outside and we picked inside.

Once we sat down and settled in we had to flag down a staff member to ask for two menus and again in order to ask if we could order, instead of being approached to ask what we would like.

We ordered the salmon sandwich, the sticky chicken sandwich, a latte macchiato and a mint tea. After ordering it took around 20min for our food to come out and 25min for our drinks. We found it surprising that the food was ready before the drinks to be honest.

The food itself tasted nice, nothing too fancy or special. The flavour on the salmon sandwich might have been a bit mild, but nothing to comment on further.

We did notice several things which we found mention worthy: -There were three floor staff on that morning and 2 of them (late 20's to mid 30's?) worked extremely hard, were kind- and curtious towards customers and when they saw something hospitality-wise that needed to happen, they picked it up and got it done. The other girl, probably beginning to mid 20's was extremely slow on service, loads of walking from here- and there looking busy but not actually doing anything. Even when she noticed things that could have been picked up like cleaning a table, resetting or even just attending to her customers, she chose to pace back and forth to appear busy.

And the ladies toilet doesn't have a hygiene bin so the entire toilet smelled quite badly of used female sanitary products. Not a too pleasant of a smell.

I visited this Brasserie many years ago and from then to now they definitely lost their touch a little. Overall it is quite a nice cafe that is aesthetically pleasing and has decent food, yet they are not the same to what we experienced back then.

Would recommend visiting though as the place is perfect for people watching for entertainment...

We went for a lunch to this brasserie, prior to visiting the theatre. It is very nicely located in the city centre, with ample parking nearby. The menu has enough variations even for picky eaters such as myself (allergies) The staff was incredibly helpful with finding a suitable solution for me, and went through great lengths to ensure I could have something nice to eat. My 2 lunch companions also specifically noted how smooth the service was and how they were made to feel right at home. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. The food was of very nice quality, fresh and well seasoned but not overly spicy or salty. The atmosphere is very nice and I quite liked the decoration, with the wooden tables, plants in the windows, etc. What surprised me (pleasantly) is that we managed to spend only 40 euros for 3 people to have lunch and a drink each. For the quality of food you're getting, this is a very good value. Would definitely recommend to visit. They don't take reservations for Saturday lunch, but they did mention there is usually inside seating available when the terrace is full, so just check with staff if you...

Eerste indruk was prima, maar NOOIT MEER.

We kwamen binnen en kregen een tafeltje. Prima tafel, prima sfeertje.

Good choice for dinner close to the center but slightly away from the more packed grote Markt area. Good variety of food and drinks. The staff seemed great and gave a good experience. We particularly liked that for kids they served their drinks in kids glasses; they loved it, it saves on potentially broken glass, and gave an overall kid-friendly vibe to it
