Great location, in an old church. Styling and decor are great. The music may be a little too loud for your taste but it does give a nice ambience. After a nice explanation about the tablet ordering system, I was given the ability to order some drinks. They accidentally gave me a Fanta (actually Sisi Orange) together with orange juice instead of just Fanta, but it got fixed immediately. The glass provided with the drink was from Royal Club and didnt contain any ice cubes or lemon unfortunately, even though it's quite a hot day. The chopsticks are from good quality, a bit heavier than plain wood for an easier grip. The plates feel plastic though. The tissue is from good quality. The soja sauce is Kikkoman, quite average. The nigiris were very fragile. Just picking them up with the chopsticks resulted in them breaking apart already. The taste was really great though. As the evening continued, the fragility of the sushi went down and the quality appeared to increase. The Royal Club glass was well-cleaned but had some small scratched on the service due to excessive usage, probably. And they serve Pepsi here, which is a huge plus for a Pepsi lover like me. Not my favourite, Pepsi Max, though. But they got the light version so that's fine too. The delivery is quite fast today, but it isn't busy since it's a Monday. Some of the dishes had a delay compared to the others, but that's understandable when everything is made fresh. If you want something healthy, don't forget to look at the desert section too. They offer some fresh fruit there. Really delicious. It usually contains strawberry, melon and pineapple.
In conclusion: I'm satisfied overall, therefore the...
Read moreSelection was fine, customer service was mixed with experienced staff and new staff who did not know what they were doing. I would suggest all staff when joining to get some training.
2 incidents when we went for a meal. Beer spilled on my brother in law (ordered for my uncle on the other side of the table) - he is Muslim and this while being an accident was very disrespectful. Another issue was staff dropped a bowl of hot miso soup on my uncle, narrowly missing him. Hence why I suggest staff are trained to do their job. My brother in law had to sit in jeans soaked in beer which was not right.
On further discussion with the manager Nigel, he originally said he would take my brother in law's dinner price off the final bill. At the end of the meal, they offered free tea and coffee as substitute instead. When we went to pay Nigel only agreed to deduct the cost of my brother in law's meal after we had to complain again.
This restaurant does not seem to respect those of other faiths. We are a multicultural family. We came as a group of 8 with my grandma and my aunt who is disabled.
Can the management please take more care with their customers. This was not a cheap meal - 40 Euros per person and we ordered drinks. We were happy to pay but not being disrespected, this is not good customer service. We...
Read moreReserved a table for two for dinner with my partner and found our experience to be okay.
After we got seated the lady bluntly walked away without any explanation and we had to flag a waitress to explain the process for us.
After we got started it took om average between 5/15min for every dish to come out. Some sushi took longer than others, while some items were extremely fast.
When we ordered the sushi we also ordered ginger, wasabi and soy sauce and that took a good 3times asking after 20min why we were waiting so long. This was the exact same case for another cup since they only supplied us with 1 tea cup, not 2.
Just because the ordering system is done by tablet, doesn't mean that you can disregard your customers. One of the wait staff who noticed actually apologised for the many tiny mistakes, but they weren't her fault to begin with.
The food on average was not bad to nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. We were happy that they served proper Japanese tea, since that is exactly what we wanted with our sushi.
Overall a normal dining experience with plenty of growing potential in the service area. We are happy...
