Sam’s specialty coffee — Restaurant in Zwolle

Sam's Coffee serves delicious specialty coffees. The ambience inside was ok, but not overwhelming, but outside you can sit very nice in a pedestrian zone. I like the choice between two beans and that you don't have to pay extra for one of the two roasts. Unfortunately, I can't say whether the beans change over time or are always the same. I found the Guatemalan roast to be very tasty and also tried the Italian business roast for comparison, but it didn't develop its flavor in my cappuccino. Overall, though, the coffee was delicious. However, I do have a few points of criticism. I'm not a fan of ordering from the table with a QR code, but that's personal. I just miss the interaction and communication with the people making the coffee. Unfortunately, I have to take away one star for the expensive water, because I think tap water can be served for free and the amount you get for the price was super little. Also, it took a long time to order because we had 6 coffee drinks. Although this was well communicated, other guests received their drinks much sooner. Maybe the orders should be handled...

If in Zwolle and into specialty coffee, RUN to this place. We have been welcomed and served by Sam himself, had the most delicious and gorgeous looking coffees and desserts. Coffee beverages are made with such passion, from the quality coffee beans and perfection of the latte art skills. I had my BEST matcha latte here. I am amazed by Sam’s mindfulness and attentiveness regarding the details. For example, when he was making my matcha latte, he advised us how to recognize quality matcha in drinks, explained us about the process of beverage preparation, gave a recommendation of sweetening (take your matcha with a bit of caramel syrup), and then asked me to try if he has made it properly as it should be sweetened just enough. Simply amazing service, interior and vibes. This place is PERFECT, can’t wait to come back...
