Delhi Heights Botany — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

I was a kind of fond of this restaurant's food and always recommended my all friends to give this restaurant a try as the food is very good their. So i thought to plan my wedding reception party in this restaurant. I called and their manager (I think named Ankit) and he told me the price per person on call which was very low than the usual. Then we go to the restaurant to confirm the rest of the things with the boss but she wasn't their so Duty manager (Ankit) was their and he assured us that it will be fine, he said. Again we been to the restaurant and this time to literally confirm our booking so we can pay in advance, the boss lady was their and she told me and my spouse the price which is usual around this area. When we told them this is not the price which your duty manager told us they denied as they got his back (Which is very appreciated being an employer for the employees). Then we moved on to the timings and again they said that we heard it wrong and the duty manager was changed in front of the boss lady. That time i was furious that to every thing he was twisting and correcting the things in front of the boss lady.

We had a little general conversation and clarification on that day. So next day i called Ramandeep and we verbally confirm the bookings for my wedding. The coming day she called me again and said afterwards i checked with the boss, so now i actually don't know who is the boss their, and we have decided not to confirm the bookings

13/1/2021 Replying to your response on the same post as i don't know how to add another review. Anyways this is so pathetic and misguided to the people who will considering the google reviews. Yes we heard $25 but when we came and talk we told what we heard but at the end we consider the amount of $45 excluding the soft drinks. Last conversation when we had a verbal confirmation all i said if you can add soft drinks in $45 but you denied and i said its okay and i will come to pay in advance and Ramandeep or Ramanpreet mam said okay i will let Ankit knows that you are coming.

Lastly yes i appreciate the food which means i appreciate the chef not you or your duty manager or a restaurant overall service. And with this misguided response you've actually lost all my trust. I think you don't care for one person and thats fine as im also not looking to damage your business in anyways. But just a friendly advice that if you took some time to response for a comment which is not in your favor then try to be honest for the next time.

Worst Indian restaurant ever in Auckland/NZ...had dinner there on Wednesday this week 8th Jan, the food was so pathetic, had asked the food to be made hot/spicy and was instead made Kiwi mild...service was so poor, they charged me for all the condiments like a very small plate of raw onions, pickles, & green chilies, that itself costed $15.00 for small portions of this & there was no complimentary papad offered & the masala papad that I finally ordered had no masala to speak of...The supposed have scheme of buy one main and second is half price on Mon/Tues/Wed but they conveniently did not tell me when I made my booking that that if I ordered a Prawn main dish and Chicken main dish they will not apply this offer...complete rip off...Please do not visit this restaurant there are much better Indian restaurants in Botany & this is the worst Indian restaurant in New Zealand. BAD FOOD & POOR SERVICE!!! SO DO NOT GO THERE...

Wow great excuses and lies about on the revert on my review. Ok justify these pls If there was not any party going on why the stairs were not closed or any signage was not there. On top of your safety arrangements🤣, kids (2 yr and 3 yr) were never left alone and their fathers were attending them. About shouting of kids, both the kids were laughing with each other being seated on our dinner table. Once once they wanted to go up which their fathers did and owner’s son started yelling at them. About other guest comfort, despite there were hardly only 3 guests on one table kids were managed to keep seated on high chairs only. When kids went up with their fathers and owner was not happy even after saying sorry to him was his reply that he will throw us out of the restaurant was approy. Finally instead of apology for bad behaviour you guys are trying to blame us with lies to overcome my feedback.
