I ordered Butter roti, Mirch Mugh masala and paneer butter masala. Roti was for my mum who has dentures. What I got was tandoori roti, that was stiff in rigor mortis by the time I travelled home (7mins) and mirch mugh masala has no mirch or masala - there were 4 plain chicken pieces skewed and placed.
I called the restaurant promptly. Mina answered . She said - oh it has already been picked up? So what are you after? (rude voice and attitude) I said - apology? argument ensued as one usually expects. She insisted I had not given her time to apologize( like she could ask me what I am after prior to apologizing). I took the food to the restaurant. Owner while acknowledged food is not what I ordered, he didn't apologize. He signs off asking me - what am I after!
So if you are after some rude behaviour and wrong expectations on food platter, and willing to sacrifice Saturday dinner and also donate some money to these people, you know where to go to. It runs from top to bottom in this establishment and they wear it as a badge ^_^
Food variations can occur and common, but such attitude and lack of apology, contradicts hospitality occupation.
Edited 8/7/18 - in response to the Owner's comment
You response is combative. That reflects 2 things - your basic inclination in approaching customer complaint is diffidence and I did not tell Mina , you are extorting money. I told you that only when you said what am I after. Changing narrative will not change your basic attitude.
If you read your own responses to other poor reviews, it becomes apparent that you don't take criticism positively. A simple apology by Mina, would have prevented whole episode. But she threw everything on me (when I asked her her name, she initially even refused to give her name out and I don't even know if she gave her real name to me!) and I was the one to remind her that she could have said sorry. that is when she said - give me a second to say sorry (there was no please or sorry added) and I said, no I rather come and talk to your manager. That is how I drove back to restaurant instead. I also got the food along so I can prove that Mina was not giving out all false narrative. But as a owner, you did taste the food I returned and agreed it was not what I ordered, yet there was no sorry. I waited till end to hear that one simple word. Like you work hard, Mister, I work hard too and wanted to treat my visiting mother, something Indian. Neither the food nor the attitude there was Indian enough, putting your own expectations before customers'

Read moreThe worst experience I had today evening at this Indian accent botany. I was regular customer for this restaurant and sent my friends but after today experience I will be never going to this restaurant or recommend anyone. I have placed my order online and when the girl offered the menu asking to order I have repeated my snacks order Chicken sholay, onion salad and Chilli chicken. The girl came after 10 mins in very rude manner why we haven’t told the girl that why we haven’t told we placed order online. As we already told manager Meenakshi and she said she already told to staff. The chicken came but no onion salad. The onion salad been served after chicken finished when asked few times staff answer was we are very busy. Why you are serving chicken without salad serve them together. Then we been served Chilli chicken I tried one piece it was the worst Chilli chicken in my whole life I asked them to replace with Chicken Manchurian which I had even last week I ordered over fifty times before in this restaurant Chicken manchurian always been served with rice when I asked the staff they said they will check with chef and will bring then she came she will bring soon. We waited for 10 minutes our manchurian got cold asked for manager no one came. Then I gone on the counter and talking with manager and owner interrupted and start saying we never serve rice with manchurian and I explained him we order before 50 times and always comes with rice. He gone rude and saying I am running the restaurant I know better then you can’t run the restaurant with this sort of attitude with customers. It really piss me off spoiled my mood I already paid for mains online but don’t want to eat at this restaurant just came out. I don’t recommend this restaurant until the owner change his attitude which is...
Read moreWe have been to Indian Accent for number of times in the past. Their food and service has been nothing but top notch. Today we were wanting to celebrate a special occasion and decided to head down to our favourite after a few months. We could have gone somewhere cheaper who do weekly specials but we wanted a good experience. However, today was nothing less than a disaster. We entered the restaurant and were shocked to see it was empty. Usually, there's a wait to be seated. I felt that something was off. Two out of three staff were on their phones who didn't even stop after we seated on our table. We ordered the food and entrees arrived even before we were given any plates and cutlery. I had to ask for it. The drinks we ordered were of a poor quality. Mango lassi was extremely thick and tasteless. Gin and Tonic had no lime/lemon either. We were 7 people and were given a one jug of water that only filled 3 glasses. There was no attempt for top up. Again I had to ask for it. We ordered four mains and 5 kinds of different breads. All mains were very poor in taste and quality. All breads were thick and hard. Breads felt like thicker version of poppadoms. After finishing when I was paying for the food I decided to let the staff member know about our experience. There was no apology, remorse or an attempt to recover the customer. I was not only shocked but disgusted by lack of care. Staff didn't seem happy and engaging. There was absolutely no hospitality throughout the whole experience. They have lost 7 customers today and it will be lot more based on what we saw today. I am unsure what changed. It used to be a great restaurant but not anymore. Hence, I have updated my rating accordingly. I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this...
