这个小吃店被新西兰食品安全局降级为D,仅次于勒令关门级别E。他们的食品真是不能吃的!!! Just got a news from NZ food safety department that this chinese take away has neen already under enforcement because the food and the premier are not meet the food safety and hygiene standard. Now it is degraded to Grade D, just next to close down level E. So, what I felt is correct with this restaurant as I first gave my review. This is our first time eating at this Chinese restaurant, and the experience has been terrible.
We were served spicy food, and none of us were able to consume it. We literally tried to finish it, but we couldn't. We enjoy spicy foods, but what we were served was inediblely spicy. The staff even told me that in their Chinese culture, this food is not at all spicy, and they REFUSED to refund us the money we paid, so it was a total WASTE of money. Another thing is that we literally removed the other meat food from the bowl because it was submerged in oil, which we literally can't eat.
However, they should have been more knowledgeable about how to filter their customers, regardless of nationality; they should have informed customers that their type of spicy may not be suitable for other customers. We were offered SODA as a courtesy, but due to a lack of better communication, we do not drink soda and instead opt for water with dirty cups served. It is a very dirty place to dine for sure, disgusting.
Definitely not a recommended dining...
Read morePanda Noodle Express at 463 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, is one of those hidden gems that you might mistake for a small takeaway at first glance, but once you step inside you quickly realise why it’s always so busy. The place is constantly packed with people, which already tells you the food must be good – and it really is.
We came in on a busy evening and ordered a range of dishes. Everything we tried was full of flavour, spicy, and very authentic Sichuan style. From the noodles to the hot dishes, each plate had that bold, numbing spice and deep seasoning that Sichuan food is famous for. It felt just like eating in a proper restaurant in China.
The only downside is that the food did take about 30 minutes to arrive, but honestly, with how many people were in there, it was understandable. And once the food hit the table, it was worth the wait – fresh, piping hot, and incredibly tasty. The prices are also reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.
The restaurant itself is designed more like a casual takeaway spot, but don’t let that fool you. It’s clearly a favourite among locals, and I can see why. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered, and it left us wanting to come back and try more.
Highly recommended if you love authentic Sichuan flavours, generous portions, and don’t mind a bit of waiting during peak times. Definitely one of the best noodle places on...
Read moreWaited for more than 20 minute for two takeaways. Asked few times about when the dishes can be done, the answer was always “almost there”.
However, there were customers who came after me and had their dishes straight away within less than 10 minutes waiting. The time when I got my takeaways, the customers who came after me almost finished their meal.
I asked the waiter reasons for taking so long to prepare dishes, their reason was “the one who came before you orders a lot” Then “why the one who came after me ate their food straight away!”
Good luck there are no rating less...
