Hotpot was delicious but service can be improved. We dined last weekend, first time trying them out so we asked the waitress if the “spicy and sour” broth was spicy (as the menu didn’t ask for a level of spice but it was asking for the “spicy broth”) and the waitress said no, I responded that is was great if not spicy cause I don’t eat spicy food at all (making sure she understood I didn’t eat spice and even a little but is too much for me)z We ticked on the menu to try 1xplain broth and 1xspicy & sour broth. Broth came and I only dipped my chopsticks in it to lick the end to try it and I almost choked as it was the most spicy broth I ever tried ! my partner who likes spice said he couldn’t cope with it too. The waitress must have not understood me then when I asked? I straight away called a new waitress and told her we couldn’t eat this broth and kindly asked for a plain one in exchange, saying we did ask for the spiciness level but anyway, we would pay for the broth even if sending it back to kitchen. Half way through our dinner, I had to ask the waitress if our dumpling were still coming as we were waiting for them for a little while now, she didn’t say but it seemed like she was going to check. We had finished our dinner later on and had to ask again a waitress about our dumpling, saying we would like to cancel them now as we are done with our dinner, she said sorry but it is taking long for the kitchen to cook but they are coming now. I said I didn’t want them anymore (usually i’m nott the type of person who does this and would eat them but i was a bit gutted we didn’t have them earlier and didn’t want them anymore) but the waitress basically said we cannot cancel it cause they are already in making. Usually you do offer the option to your customer to cancel when you know it took ages to make something but anyway, she didn’t cancel and we just got them to take home. I was quite disappointed, I would think if you want to keep a customer happy, first you might give them the head up when you know something can take long to cook (I truely think they forgot about the dumpling cause we waited over half an hour for them and the rest came quite fast. Some asian place I go to do tell me in advance that they would take 15/20min but I rarely wait 30mins for dumplings) but also you do offer the option to cancel it when you know it is not unreasonable (if I wanted to cancel within 10min I understand but it was at the very end of our meal). I think they can definitely improve on the service. I absolutly don’t mind if a staff come to us and tell us X dish takes longer to cook, do you still want to go ahead etc. this is always much appreciated. It wasn’t on a busy night, only 2 tables in the restaurant with us at that time, other tables were all done. We were charged for the broth we sent back to the kitchen too (full bowl, I understand you can’t reuse it and it goes to waste but when it wasn’t truely our fault for ordering it, thinking it wasn’t going to be spicy.... it would have been appreciated if the restaurant didn’t charge us. It only $5, can make a customer happy.) Also FYI, bill was not in english, couldn’t really tell what we were charged, could only guess with the price per article but if you don’t have the menu next to you again, you don’t really know. Don’t think I will be back, which is a shame as the broth (plain one) was nice and the veggies and meat were...

This was the first time at a hotpot place. The waitress was lovely but we had no guidance with how things work, prices etc. The food had a funny taste to it, and the beef and other food in the skewers was chewy, couldn’t even get it off the skewer. The fish has a bad fishy taste to it, not fresh at all. The chicken soup, the spring rolls and the pork bites were probably the best things of the menu. Also a lot of the food was wayyyyyy too spicy, Im not a fan of spicy food but wanted to try it, my sister is a massive fan of spicy food and she didn’t even like it, so if you don’t like spicy food, this isn’t the place!! (the spice was actually painful!!) A lot of other staff seemed to look down on us…. very uncomfortable!! My partner got the stank eye each and every time someone walked past us! not okay at all!! Also very expensive, prices were not specified other than the menu, got charged $5 for sauce when we only got a small tea spoon of each! that was a rip offfff!! left feeling like the food was sitting in our stomachs! I looked at the reviews on the way home and all the bad ones were from 4/5 years ago, doesn’t seem like much has changed I guess.

Moral of the story, not going...

Food is okay, soup is nice but the service is hmmm.. First we thought its good, until when we pay. If I didn't double check the receipt. They would charge us $15 more. $9 for the dish they don't even have and they didn't even update the order when they realise they don't have the products. $3 each for some sauce that we didn't even see. And nobody ever told us, there are sauces at the very corner and end of the restaurant. So when I found out, they said "we can't refund you the money no matter you had the sauce or not, cuz its on the menu. because it doesn't have the tiny box next to it, so it means you must pay. " If you really think its a must pay why can't you write down as a statement or at least tell your waitresses to remind ppl about it when u introduce the menu. And the funny thing is the OWNER(Not just normal staff or manager) said, "I can't ask waitresses to telling the customer this thing every single time." LOL what? WHY NOT? ISN'T IT THE WAITRESSES JOB? This place is quite sneaky about the pricing. I don't think I would ever go back. And I DON'T recommend Miss Hotpot for such bad...

Had a lovely dinner today at Miss Hotpot. So glad we opted for their tomato and veg broth (individual bowl) instead of spicy as the broth flavor was impressive by itself. The dipping sauce spread quality was very good. Loads of options on the menu; Tiger prawns we're fresh, massive and oh-so sweet - no seasoning required. Service staff was nice and friendly, helped us with some of our queries. What could really help for first timer like us would be a guide for cooking/dipping time, dipping sauce mixing suggestions and other etiquettes like what's for individual consumption/what can be shared etc. I was too lazy to Google for these 😂. Overall, lovely experience and will visit again for sure.

Fantastic staff, helpful and tries best to cater to your needs. First experience here, great soup bases particular the tomato soup base. Interesting array of skewers and dishes to choose from. Cost per skewer does add up particular for those double skewered skewers and especially if they’re tiny portions. Great condiment help yourself table which is generous in providing the portions you would need to mix the perfect sauce mix. Great impression overall, fun feed, aromas of spice is super strong so walking out you’ll smell like hot pot for a while! Clothes need a good wash if you’re sensitive to that food smell like me 🤣
