One of the best music stores in Auckland. Bought an Ibanez RG470 and it is amazing. Ciaran (and his colleague) is very accommodating and helpful despite being there 30mins before closing time on a Monday. Since it's nearly closing time when we went there, we came back the following Sunday as I wanted to buy an e-kit (worth ~$7k) which I saw during our previous visit. I requested if I can try, so the guy turned it on and asked me if I needed a drumstick (what kind of question is that??), I replied and he told me he'll get one... I waited for a while but he never came back. I also asked if the e-kit comes with a kick pedal as the demo unit got a different brand - no answer was given, shame. My son tried a TOD10, and he did but not much help was provided either. Oh by the way, it was quiet at that time, it was only us and one other customer trying a guitar, and we saw 3 staff at that time. One guy was nice though but he was busy with something else. We still ended up buying a guitar bag though despite the unpleasant experience. This won't stop us from coming back to this branch, it was just an unlucky visit. For the e-kit, I'm on my way to the other store to get one. Hope MW improves all staff to be better with customer service....
Read morePretentiousness at it worst. Do not touch signs on mid range guitars everywhere . After browsing, what seems like the same stock they’ve had all year I pick up a rusted stringed Mexican Tele Instantly this guy that looks like he needs to have a shower came over and super condescendingly asked me what is I was doing. I told him that I was there to look at buying this American Vintange II Strat that I had previously seen there, but since I didn’t see it, so I was just gonna have a browses anyways. Then he rolled his eyes at me And asked me “browse Or touch, cause it looks like you’re touching that Guitar”. Without saying a word, I just put the guitar in his hands and walked out of the store. That’s exactly how you lose a customer. I’m not exactly sure how you would know If you were interested in plugging a guitar in to test if you don’t even like the feel of the neck . I’m a 40-year-old Musician. I owned 30+ guitars in my life. Everyone of those guitars I own Because I sat down and played a bunch of guitars I decided on it, I feel like this is how everyone does it. Stores like this are losing the plot and the charm of what a music store is all about. They Lost a...
Read moreOutstanding service from all workers and team on site, A large range of most instruments you are willing to buy, staff are super polite and nice, and would let you try out guitars if you needed. Was buying an Ibanez TOD10N Tim Henson signature but our Afterpay was messing up, frustrating of course but the man working the counter (which I have unfortunately forgotten the name of but I'm going to guess it was Simon judging by other reviews) was dedicated to get this guitar in our hands so we had to have come back the next day in hopes it works. It was still playing up but we had got it through after my grandma was willing to pay the rest, overall outstanding service, would definitely recommended making this a usual guitar store to visit! (Props and shoutout to...
