Gibbo's on the Wharf — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Im sorry to give u guys 2 stars as im trying hard to give 5, BUT your fish, while good, isnt so great that y’all can afford to be this unfriendly. The woman sweeping the floors found that job more important than serving a customer. The cook needed to finish washing the dishes before he would even look up. Times are tough, i dont what ur days were like today and even though its hard ,its not imposible to at least return a greeting and smile.i did both and got NOTHING ! Having a business still going is a huge plus,and having a job also a plus...nz is seeking out small towns for that small town experience...pls dont disappoint, i felt like i was intruding, rather than supporting your beautifully located shop. I hope u guys remember bad food can be forgiven, but bad service,...

So different from a few weeks ago! Very lippy young girl! 50 minute wait, we went and had a beverage next door while waiting....came back in 40 minutes to one meal missing, yet we had our tickets and the other meal cold and dry fish! Lippy young girl saying i don't no what happened someone had the same number as you! Another polite young lady re did the missing meal....i took my fish back to explain it's not terakihi!! My fish was dry! Not moist like my friends! I was told it was terakihi that mine was probably sliced in half by miss lippy!! Very dissapointed to pay $27.50 for 4 pieces of dried up fish,chips and a salad.....less...

As an out of town visitor, I love Gibbo's. I get it everytime I visit. I was visiting this weekend, so checked google to see if you were open. Google said you were...at both shops. So off we went to Gibbo's on the wharf....closed at 6pm on a Friday night. Never mind. Google said Kopeopeo was open. So off we went to get our delicious feed of Gibbo's. CLOSED!! I can't tell you how disappointed we were. Same again on Saturday night. Google says you are open, but you were not. Maybe when you close up, you should update your google search. It's a was of our time and petrol having to drive all over looking for food that...
