The Caffeine Bar — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Have gone here numerous times and havent once had a decent coffee. Have had my orders messed up and then been told it is my own problem once brought to the barista’s attention. an example of this is when i got an iced coffee with an extra shot, i was given an iced coffee with about an inch of syrup. i explained that i had asked for an extra shot of coffee not extra syrup and was matched with a horrible attitude, and a snarkiness that is just uncalled for from a business pov. I have gone back time and time again as i love supporting local, but each time have been disappointed from the service to the quality of beverages being served. Today I was cut off by said barista when pulling into papamoa plaza, almost causing an accident. barista proceeds to lean out the window swearing and poking fingers, and egging on his other passengers to do so. I am aware he would recognise me as i went here almost every day at one point. He then proceeded to approach my partner in an agressive and violent matter after almost causing an accident, i think this is disgusting and inappropriate behaviour from a local business, not professional at all and i am unaware how you still have customers with this sort of behaviour in and out of the workplace. I hope nobody ever wastes another dollar here, and i think you need to take a good long hard look at yourself and the quality of service you have presented...

My partner and I had a savoury bagel and a coffee each. Coffees were meh, the flat white was luke warm and way too much foam, and just like the long black they both tasted pretty weak. Bagels looked nice on the outside and tasted ok, but not generous on the quantity : 1 single little slice of bacon in the bacon and egg one and 1 single little slice of salmon in the salmon and cream one. Always great service and great food at reasonable prices. Called in this morning to pick up a Pastrami Beef Bagel, for my 96yr old uncle's lunch since he loves them so! I was dismayed to see none in the cabinet and asked whatever could I do so as not to disappoint him?
