Motiti Reserve — Attraction in North Island

Amazing beach reserve with wide, sandy beaches and parks. You can park in the small parking lot here at Motiti Reserve, or if the lot is full, park anywhere along Papamoa Beach Road, and it is only a 3 or 4 minute walk over to the beach. There is another parking lot at Taylor Reserve nearby with a boat ramp, public restrooms and picnic tables in the park area, if you need those things. Papamoa Beach has always been one of our favorite beaches in New Zealand! It is a great beach for walking, swimming, fishing, surfing, digging shellfish, sunning and relaxing. Confined not a place for good airflow parking is deliberately unbearably close. Definitely a covid concern.😂 The toilets while looking clean the moment the door was closed the smell of urine was overwhelming at times. I needed a mask. PS bay of plenty council like to see our money spent in the area, but don't provide adequate "quiet", safe parks for those of us unable to get a house. Something all councils might think about some quiet areas, sports grounds are ridiculous they're used from between 4 am...
