Went tonight with my partner for our anniversary (a Tuesday) arrived at 6:30 expected it to be busy, it wasn’t and got seated straight away. In total there were probably 10 guests in the restaurant . Took 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken and then half an hour later Ordered the beef salad with crispy noodles short ribs and crumbed Camembert with an iced coffee and ginger beer for $90! Took half an hour to get my coffee and 45minutes for my partner to get his ginger beer then proceeded to wait an hour and a half for our food to be served whilst those that arrived after us got their food 20mins before us! Meals were taking forever to all guests another group that came in same time as us waited the same amount of time but got waited on more We were barely checked on staff seemed like they didn’t care about us being there, paid 18.50 for five pieces of fried Camembert that weren’t even fully cooked through! ribs were dry and tasted burnt, salad tasted alright but seemed like it came from a packet beef was chewy and there was an insane amount of crispy noodles like 80/20 ratio of noddles to salad ate the greens and left the rest as it wasn’t the nicest , staff made us feel like we couldn’t express how we were feeling about our meal and when we paid our cheque staff tried to huddle us out as quickly as possible, very memorable meal but not for good reasons besides that the building was lovely and...
Read moreI would find it very hard to recommend this restaurant, there would need to be a big improvement in the service. there was failure from the waitress's not knowing the menu, the length of time it took for the meals to come out, the fact some meals were not even processed and the time it took for staff to rectify the mistake (missing meals came out just as everyone else was finishing only to be taken away again because it was said the service was not satisfactory only to be brought back again by the only staff member to show any professionalism, understandably she appeared embarrassed by the whole ordeal) Everyone felt the the meals were good and I believe were well priced. The live entertainment was not expected or called for, in-fact it is a wonder the place is not called Fawlty Towers. Basil was able to grab everybody's attention in the restaurant with his ranting and in good Basil style, blamed the staff for his own leadership failure. Some would say they may be having a bad day but in hospitality that is not an excuse and looking at the reviews, I am not alone considering most people will not report on bad...
Read moreWas there as a group for Christmas dinner, staff and services are great. The flavour is a let down for some of us (sorry chef). Many of us can't comprehend the super peppery sauce of the Butterfly chicken, it has no aroma and it's a waste of overload peppercorns. Chicken is a bit chewy and chips are below standard. Vege pasta is thick in sauce, however the flavour disappeared quite quickly in mouth and become a bit bland. Chai latte smell good but turn out to taste like too much water added. I do like the jalapeños bites. Some of us do enjoy their food and some...
