The Gelato Lab — Restaurant in Christchurch

I just found this little place today by pure accident and I am really glad I did. Christchurch is lucky to have some really nice gelato places but this one has just move into my number 1 favourite gelato store. The staff were both really friendly and helpful. There is a huge selection of flavours and I didn't need to read a menu to work out what the flavour was either, you know... chocolate is chocolate flavour, caramalised fig is.... you guessed it gelato with caramalised fig in it. The two scoops of gelato I had were really really nice, and very reasonably priced. This place is not exactly close to where I live, but maybe the 20 minute cycle ride each way will allow me to have an extra scoop each...

We visited The Gelato Lab in Opawa after receiving a voucher, and it was such a treat! We each chose a different flavour and all three gelatos were absolutely delicious—smooth, creamy, and packed with flavour. You can really tell they use high-quality, natural ingredients.

The vibe of the place is really fun too, with its science lab theme and friendly staff who clearly love what they do. It’s such a cool little gem in Christchurch. Whether you’re a gelato connoisseur or just after a sweet treat, The Gelato Lab is 100% worth a visit. We'll definitely be...

If you don't like too sweet, try yogurt passionfruit or simply vanilla.Cinnamon also tastes great. Their berry flavors all made from real fruits. Minty flavors got real mint leaves. Lemon & orange flavor comes from fresh squeezed juice.These ingredients make gelato in your mouth very refreshing. My friends love nuty flavor, chocolate hazelnut , Peanut caramel,pistachino … rich!
