My friend and I ordered two coffees, both with oat milk, but one was made with regular milk. When we informed the staff of this, the barista initially took the coffee, tasted it, and insisted it was oat milk, despite it being clear that it was not, as my friend is lactose intolerant and can easily tell the difference. We then pressed for a resolution, only for them to contradict themselves, claiming that we had ordered one oat milk and one regular milk, and even claiming, that we had not ordered oat milk at all.
This response was not only unhelpful but also rather rude. Even if there was a misunderstanding, it could have been handled more professionally, with an apology for the initial confusion.
It was a very disappointing experience, and I would encourage the staff to approach such situations with more courtesy and a genuine effort to resolve issues, rather than deflecting blame and refusing to address...
Read moreNarrow Neck Beach Cafe has a really nice atmosphere and it's in an awesome location. A little bit expensive, so if that's your kind of deal then it's okay. Service was really good. Staff were smiling away and they served your food through a window after you've ordered so that a pile up at the counter doesn't occur, which I think is a great idea. It really is a nice setting with nice scenery to go with. The cafe itself has heaps of indoor and outdoor seating and it's quite open.
I ordered a toasted chicken panini and a coffee which were both beautiful. However I heard their pies were really good (but expensive) so I ordered a steak and cheese, which was not amazing đ it had like no steak and heaps of fatty bits. But it was fine!
I would definitely come here for a coffee and a...
Read moreNarrow Neck Beach CafĂ© is in a great location right at the entrance to the beach, with a cozy, local community vibe. I visited in the fall, and while it wasnât busy, it had a nice family-friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown. When I asked where I could sit, the server responded with a sharp âWHAT?âânot the warmest welcome. After repeating myself, she just said âorder here and sit wherever you want,â in a tone that felt pretty rude. Later, when my coffee was ready, I went to the counter, but instead of handing it to me (even though she was right there), she told me to walk all the way around to the delivery window. The coffee itself was just okayânot really worth the attitude. Itâs a decent spot for the location, but I wouldnât go out of my...
