Fresh Sushi — Restaurant in Franklin

Rip off, misleading, I wont be going back. Sushi rolls dont have fillings all the way through.

Selected some sushi from the counter for a takeaway. Jumped in the car and started to eat. I found the fillings in the sushi rolls only went about half way through the roll. Obviously they did not make a roll of tuna sushi and cut it into rounds. They made a roll of rice, cut that into rounds then added a bit of filling on the top. Never seen anything like it anywhere in the world. A total rip off. Taste in the mouth, lots of rice and not much filling ... for obvious reasons. I would have gone back and got a refund except Id driven 15 minutes away before I started eating. The way this was presented in their cabinet it looked like regular sushi, but it isnt. Cheapskates on...

Service was ok, we waited for our order for a while because I think they got busy and forgot we were there. They brought out our food almost immediately when I went to ask them if our order was ready yet. It wasn't really explained to us why it took so long for our food to arrive.

We got the chicken katsu curry rice and teriyaki chicken yakisoba. They were both tasty but nothing out of this world. Both were flavoured nicely, the portions and prices were ok.

The table felt a bit sticky when I was resting my arms on it, not sure if it was the material or grease build-up. It was an ok experience, I think this may be better as a take...

I'm so sad, this place has always been my go to for many years, but since being under different ?management/owners? Things are slowly changing... rice isn't as nice, teriyaki sauce tastes different, like 4 pieces of spring onion (what's the point), bento box portions are smaller, almost no sauce on the chicken and rice 😭 I've been 5 times since the change and each time left hugely disappointed... time for a new...
