I loved the range of cabinet food you have.The look of the slices and cakes made my mouth water. I loved that you have kept alot the original items and what you have added since taking over. I ordered the burger and potatoe skins and my friend had the waffles with choc meringue etc. My food was amazing! Highly reccomend. She enjoyed hers aswell except the waffle was super doughy and the popcorn was stale, the sauce and meringue were delish and both plates looked amazing. I was however so sad when my coffee arrived and it was not allpress as most of your bios state that you still do and may need an update 😣 to make the matter worse mine came with burnt milk, weak as and more like a flat white than a mocha. Coffee is my treat and a basic necessity of life and $5 for a terrible coffee legit ruined my day. Allpress was one of the best things about town mouse as they trained their barrsitas which meant it produced a consitant and great coffee. Service was also below average. We were not greated till we got to the till and even then were told " I'l be with you in a minute " after ten minutes of sitting waiting to be approached. the staff looked at us so I know they knew we were there and yet no one took our orders or checked on us during our whole visit. It was not even busy as most tables had either just started eating or finishing up. Do you not offer table service anymore? Or was it just one of those days? Offering table water would be a nice option also. I would have let yourself or your team know about our experience in person had anyone asked instead they had blank stares and looked to be flat and flustered and even non approachable, not one goodbye have a good day or thanks. I have been to Town Mouse many times over the years and travel out of town for the experience. It has had a nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. The food has always been impeccable in taste and presentation. I took family last Saturday morning and was left highly disappointed and apologetic to my family. Gone was the chilled out environment with the layout having been changed. Staff are now busy in the area where you walk through to seating and toilets, making access difficult. I ordered something I have had several times before and was sad to find the presentation lacked finesse and the taste was so bland I struggled to eat it. My sons plate was dumped on the table spilling half the contents on to the table top. There was no apology or acknowledgement from the waitress. Needless to say my son struggled with his meal also. When I went to pay for our meal a gruff, unfriendly woman exuding a rather hostile manner served me. There was no eye contact or the usual niceties I had experienced on prior visits. On the way out of the cafe my son pointed out the grading pending notice on the wall that said the cafe is under new ownership. This explained everything. This morning we were meant to be meeting up as a group for a friend's birthday relaxing brunch. When two of us were greeted we were seated at a table inside and our other friends were already seated outside, so there was no communication between servers about reservations.... Next we had 3 different servers ask us for drinks, when the glasses arrived for our wine they were hot like they were just out of the sterilizer but they were very dirty, and definitely could see lip marks. The food was okay, and I was very happy with my chicken waffles, but it was a very big portion (: but two of our party got the same thing and the hash browns were completely different sizes and they each payed for two each and they only got one, and the avocado was brown ND very over ripe in another's meal missing the balsamic vinegar. Nobody asked us if we were okay with our food or apologized about the glasses.... I have been here many times before but the communication was shocking and the menu change is confusing and too many options. Our last server who cleared our plates, was super friendly and chatty, made us feel better about our experience leaving better.

Sad to be leaving this review but really hope that something comes of this for the staff and...
