Brewaucracy Brewery & Taproom — Restaurant in Hamilton

A fairly regular visitor here over the years. A great drop in after work for a quick one before heading home or takeaways available at a reasonable price. The plastic growler is returnable for $1 on the next visit. Brewaucracy is exceptional for hosting group gathering with a food truck available on Fridays. Yvonne is quite a character with her dog Porter. She will arrange an area to set aside for your guests and a hand stamp to identify them for a tab if set up. I have arranged two milestone birthday gathering there for both regular locals and newbies. Both have commented how much they have enjoyed their time there. My first time here and it won’t be my last. In fact, it’ll be the first place I head to when looking for a good beer in Hamilton. The crowd tells me I’m not alone in that regard. I didn’t try the food but it looked scrumptious (so I’ve rated it as such) and the tap list was very much to my taste. The two guest sours from Karamu were superb and the WCIPA I had to go with them was the same. The styles on offer would cover pretty much any taste and the single hazy covers those with none. The only downer is their restricted opening hours and out of the way location. It’d be great to see them open a regular bar in town - but maybe it’s for the best I can’t park myself...

Brewaucracy is one of my favourite places to go in the weekend. We tend to go in a Saturday when they have a food truck on. They have a different one each time and it means there’s plenty of food variety. They also have one on a Friday night and it’s very popular. Sunday’s are a bit quieter but it’s a good time to hang out and play board games - they have a selection at the taproom or you can bring your own. They have their own beers on tap, guests taps for ciders and other beer. Plus a fridge with ciders, wines and non alcoholic drinks too.
