Visited the cafe at Mega Mitre 10 Ruakura. Asked for two English Breakfast teas with an extra pot of hot water. That was $9. My hubby got a raspberry custard scone. The teas were brought to our table - 2 teacups, 2 small pots of tea, only 1 milk between us and a tiny uncovered jug of hot water. I said to the waitress 'when I asked for extra hot water, I meant another pot' as most/many cafes do this. The woman serving us replied 'we don't normally do this'. Wait. What? Why not? I thought. Then finally she brought out the pot of hot water. Still just one small jug of milk for two. Miserable! My hubby started eating his scone which was so dry he couldn't continue. She gave him the butter but it was rock hard and no knife was given to spread it with. Perhaps if he'd asked for a knife he would have got the same old excuse: 'we don't normally do this'. The only thing the tiny jug of hot water was good for, was melting the hard butter by sitting it on top! We really felt like the staff at the cafe couldn't be bothered the day we visited. Might go...

Not a friendly policy, means an older person would also have to pay for a large meal when not required. Also large black hair in...

Luckily this was a cheap grabone voucher. Coffee was really...
