The first time in the history of me ordering from Domino's in Hillcrest have we ever been so disappointed. The food was ordered at around 9.20pm on Thursday evening, and we received most of the food at around 10.35pm and the remaining items at 11.23pm. I was about ready to cancel it as from the very beginning we were tired and annoyed at how long it was taking. I was made aware of this because at the time the food was ordered we received a secondary notification at 10pm telling us the food was just cooking. We have ordered these pizzas before and this time the pizzas arrived cool, in no thermal bag, missing the sauces the chicken bites were cold and looked half missing. The hollandaise sauce on the chicken and camembert pizza was a cheap nasty version of bland thick cheese sauce which was overpowering and definitely not hollandaise as I make it for a living. We had to scrape all that thick fake cheese sauce off and throw it out it was horrible. There was no camembert on that pizza at all. The pizzas were just cold and unappealing and you could just tell they had not been made with care or consideration. The fake chicken bites were cool and unappealing and seemed like vegan inspired chicken bites? The sauces that I added to the order were missing. When I called to complain the man seemed overwhelmed or too busy having commented that there were not enough delivery drivers on ? Although he did offer us a drink and the sauces to say sorry they came 1 hour later at 11.30pm by this time we were completely fed up, the whole thing seemed as though the store was under new management or something was definitely off about the...
Read moreI was asked to write a review so here I am. I ordered a large pepperoni classic pizza with creme fraiche base and BBQ sauce topping and a garlic bread for $12.74. The garlic bread was typical of any pizza place that sells garlic bread although it could have been cooked for a little longer. The slices on the pizza were sized out to give me three small pieces and 2 massive pieces, another typical pizza place thing to do, and the BBQ sauce pretty much slaughtered the top of the pizza in a big thick layer which I would have preferred to be nicely drizzled thinly on top maybe in a circular motion rather than zig zaged across the pizza. All in all was an ok meal for my lunch break from work and was ready as soon as I got there to pick it up. I ate the whole lot and now have a very happy stomach with out having to break the wallet...
Read moreReview for Domino’s:
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Domino’s Hillcrest. We ordered the Funky Chicken and Chicken Supreme pizzas, and both were a letdown.
The Funky Chicken tasted awful, and the base was burned around the edges, making it completely unenjoyable. To make things worse, the Chicken Supreme we ordered turned out to be the wrong pizza altogether. When we opened the box, it was a different order, and yet again, the base was burned. The pizza didn’t even look appetizing. This experience has left me not wanting to return to Domino’s. I don’t know if this is the standard across all branches, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with them.
I used to really enjoy Domino’s a few years back, but this was such a disappointment. Definitely...
