Can you please look into your policy around denying females entry because they're ever so smartly sporting a Fanny Pack? You see, thanks to Capitalism, female clothes are not made with functioning pockets, so we are forced to buy handbags on our below market wages.
Now, handbags cause quite the hindrance when a gal just wants to let her hair down and dance. This is where Fanny Packs come to the rescue, offering an easy breezy, incredibly stylish and hands free option. Where we can securely store our essentials (phones, wallets) and nice to haves (lipsticks, a cheeky midnight snack). Not to mention, they're a much safer option than their handbag counter parts. Not as easily pick pocketed or snatched, they don't get left on tables and chairs and are not a tripping or snagging hazard.
Now I understand the importance of a dress code, I really do. Which is why I have an entire collection of different Fanny Packs. Ranging from discrete classy numbers, gorgeous statement pieces for any outfit and even quick drying, light weight numbers suitable for hiking. (They really are a gift that just keeps on giving)
However, I am continually told that my Fanny Pack (which is basically just a handbag with a shorter strap, worn horizontally rather than vertically) is just too casual for your fine class establishment.
I just think, if I can be granted access wearing an outfit which is only two seams away from resembling a bathing suit, suuurely my Fanny Pack isn't the most offensive thing bringing down the apparently high standards of the Hamilton nightlife?
Yours sincerely, A girl who just wants to throw her hands up in the air without risking her stuff flying everywhere or being stolen✌️
PS. It's actually because I'm too...
Read moreI dined there tonight with some friends and it was an extremely negative and disappointing experience. First of all, our orders were forgotten on a number of occasions, we had to remind staff (who were pretty unfriendly and inhospitable). To cap the night of, when we went to pay, my friend and I (in a party of 2 couples) decided to split the bill, it appeared to be a higher than what we expected cost (my friend had paid his half at this point). I went on to pay my half asking for my receipt so that I can check the bill reflected what we ordered. To our shock, the staff members say that there was no way to print a receipt if the payment is already in process. I asked for the receipt before I paid (thinking it was no big deal) but the staff member just printed a receipt which showed the total amount paid for, not the itemised version. We went through in our heads what we ordered and we are 100% certain we have been ovecharged but we were unable to prove this as your staff (according to them) were unable to print a receipt. I have never been to restaurant where a receipt is unable to be retrieved. I am worried there is potential scamming occuring here as there is no way we were charged correctly. I wasn't sure in the first place because our group did not turn up at the same time so I thought it may reflect what was ordered before I turned up. When we realised that our friends paid for their drinks before hand, I realised we have been overcharged due to your staffing error
This place is cheap but you get what you paid for, poor service, extremely inexperienced staff and people trying to cheat you....
Read moreBBQ beef pizza is amazing, would very much recommend, and for $10 at lunch it's a great deal. Drinks are averagely priced, lunches and dinners are very reasonably priced.
Their 'specials' though are rather disappointing in terms of portion size and content. I have asked and apparently their special and non special items are meant to be exactly the same - but from experience they're not. The on special $2 chicken taco has half the amount of chicken in it as the regular chicken taco, which is similar for all the on special items. The food is still great tasting just don't expect the same size/quality for the on special items.
Speed of food is good too, even if with large group, usually the service is very quick.
Venue also has fun nights with oom-pah bands etc on Octoberfests etc.
