This was a disappointment from the get go. Being recently new to Hamilton, people said these pies were great. They weren't. Maybe I chose the wrong type of pie? Drove all the way there because of the raving reviews and my chicken pie was terrible. More terrible than a really bad chicken pie you could get from a dairy. Pastry was lovely but it was so thick that after 3 bites I still couldn't get to the chicken, the chicken was dry and shredded too thin, there was barely any there. The gravy, cream, didn't taste like anything and was like jelly. Literally corn starch mixed with water and nothing else. Same for the corn and spinach. Add that it's a pain to park around it and nowhere where you could stroll about and enjoy said pie, it's a never again for me. My husband's pie was a steak bacon and cheese. I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at this bakery, I felt compelled to. I truly appreciate the level of care this place puts not only into their food but also into their relationships with customers.

I want to give a huge thank you to the young woman with the piercings who helped me during my visit. Because of dietary restrictions, I need to be very careful with what I eat, and being my first time there, I felt flustered and overwhelmed by the selection. She was clearly busy, yet she stopped without hesitation, greeted me with a smile, and kindly walked me through the ingredients of different items so I could make the right choice.

My husband used to shop here everyday when he was working, but they have really lowered thier standards of late. And the service, I'm not usually one to complain but waiting for a lady to get off her cellphone then apologise for the wait no thank you.
