This was one of the best McDonald's restaurants in Hawkes Bay, however, the last six months they have largely let themselves down. Food is cooked and sent out quickly, and taste is as you'd expect from Maccas. The restaurant though is a big let down. They spent a large amount of money re-doing the restaurant a year or so ago and had it looking great, but now it is consistently filthy. From tables not being cleared, to the floor littered with paper and food scraps, the feel of the restaurant front of house feels let go and uncared for. Maybe this is a lack of cleaning crew? But regardless, I personally haven't felt great eating food around literal rubbish. They have had more than long enough to address this disgusting issue. I'd avoid this Maccas dining in experience at all costs as it is not good.

I guess I can't leave two reviews so I will update my latest and last visit to this as I won't be eating there again. First complaint: Cheeseburger: Sauce Cheese Meat patty Advertisement shows more than what I got as seen in photos Called to complain, was told cheeseburgers dint come with onion or pickles. Disappointing UPDATED: SECOND COMPLAINT 15/10/2024 I ordered a Mac attack Pulled this strand of hair out of my mouth after the third bite of my burger. The dark strand is my hair the light one is what came from my big Mac (shown in photos) Service was great but please wear hair nets thats a burger i cant eat and money i loose.

Queued for almost 45 mins in the drive thru and they couldn't even construct a Big Mac correctly. On the visit before that, I used the order kiosk to purchase a McChicken combo, waited 20 mins for my number to be called before asking what was going on. No explanation as to why my order was taking more than twice as long as the large groups ordering after me. It still took them another 10 mins after that to bag my order and the fries were cold. Ridiculous Edited update, 4 months later an zero improvements. Sat at the window for awhile waiting to see a staff member so I could ask for a couple of napkins but gave up in the end.
