New Garden Restaurant 新花園 — Restaurant in Howick

I can'y say much about other dishes as I only really buy the Beef Pho. I have to say that it is the best tasting Pho i have had, nice and light but full of flavour. Restaurant can get very busy during weekends so best to book or come just after lunch or before.

Restaurant is very small, so on really busy days it can feel very hectic, but on days where its just you and a few people it very comfortable. Parking can be a tad hard to find at times and if you are an English speaker it may take a few backwards and forwards to get your point across, but that's a bit nit picky since it is an Asian restaurant.

Ordered 3 meals of the past few weeks all of those just lacked of flavour ! No flavour at all I but I gave benefit of the doubt and went back .I ordered chicken and cashew tonight for take away and again absolutely no flavour whatsoever and there wasnt 1 peice of chicken in it . It was all prawns n veggies this meal was $32 aswell so u think it would be nice and atleast have chicken in it as thats what i ordered they really need to get a new chef because for a chinese restaurant it's just not on I will not be returning again u have lost me as a...

As with other chinese restaurants in New Zealand, portions are easily twice or almost thrice the size of normal servings found in Asian countries. Hence, one portion could easily feed 3 so do exercise restrain when ordering, else you would have quite a bit of leftover.

Food was nice and service was okay, nothing to complain about but nothing that particularly stands out either. Would visit again.
