Dosa Plaza Botany — Restaurant in Howick

One of the worst taste and service ever had. never order that prem masala dosa… its taste yukkk Hey I am editing this review after reviewing your wonderful reply towards my concern.

First thing, check your camera regarding that i have asked the sambar after paying the whole order… Seriously how someone can be so liar that your staff was saying that i asked for sambar before i paid the bill. Omg seriously shame on you that before even check the camera you have just posted the wrong allegation on goggle to show up in front of people that you guys are honest.

Let me come on the soup, I have also kindly asked to your staff that to give soup which is mentioned on your menu half $5.50 as we got confused as its described about half portion. As we ordered 3 things and my wife just want to taste a lil portion of soup which is mentioned on the menu.

I actually got recommendation from someone and i want that yukk dosa to be take away to get him taste so that at-least from next time he don't recommend that place where our money is going to be waste.

Even i asked to that staff lady before ordering that prem masala dosa and she said it comes with 4 chutneys and when its came to our table there is just one coconut chutney with it and all the sour chutneys is inside the dosa, even i told her that its bit sour and she haven’t got any response to get it change or anything to do for us. I came there to feed myself and my wife straight after the work and we end up eating our dinner at cooking in home because the food you have provided is not even to eat.

Instead of showing up in front of people in google, kindly trained your staff and manage your big size menu to be served in good ways. Seriously i was shocked to saw your...

I would like to share the worst n terrible dinner experience of my life at this place last night. I am a regular customer here , I come here pretty much every weekend with my family. Not only that I forced my friends from other ethnicities to come and try the food here. But l am very disappointed with their service last night. So we ordered a punjabi thali for the first time. Daal was so tasteless with too much salt that one can’t have at all, mixed veg was jus like someone put that mixed veg from those frozen packet from supermarket with some sauce-absolutely tasteless and paneer with hardddd paneer cubes and pathetic naan…...when informed the manager about the same, she took our thali to the kitchen like she is gonna fix that and brought the same back -with the answer sorry ma’am chef is saying he made everything fresh. We spent $20 for that disgusting food and of course it is disappointing when your money is just going down the drains. But no solutions by the manager. I thought when I go to pay the bill at the counter she may ask me not to pay for that dish or give some discount but noo she made me pay the whole amount- poor management skills. NEVER GOING BACK THERE, also will tell our friends about this experience and whoever is reading this please keep in mind doesn’t matter how much business you have given this restaurant, they won’t acknowledge that, so don’t even waste your time. We visited this place on Monday evening for dinner with our family, very pathetic service by the manage. We request the food to be spicy/ hot but they gave us the mild food and upon asking him he was giving us an excuse rather than listening to us. All the time when I and my sister is having a conversation with him he didn’t even bother to listen us and just seeing other customers from that you can imagine how bad customer service they are providing while we are paying a lot for food which is not even an average food. The total food was waste and he was not even trying to pay attention to us he was just arguing with us on the name of franchisee because as per him the restaurant is under franchisee base and they can’t do custom food I mean we only ask to make food spicy/ hot there is no other customisation we asked for I mean I am a Chef and I know you can’t do changes on the food more but we only ask for spicy food which I guess 99% of Indian restaurants are doing it rest 1% is this Dosa plaza botany when they gave an excuse for not doing it.

Nothing much to say but good luck to the people who’ll be going there, I personally did not recommend or visit again.
