I believe Xi'an Food Bar is a franchise with stores scattered across Auckland. This one is pretty good and have adapted to the post COVID era. They use a unique QR code on each table to place order to minimise interaction. All you do is scan the QR code on your table, place the order online through your phone and food will be deliver to u. Just probably need a robot to deliver the food and a contactless payment method perhaps done online again to make it truly contactless. Food is generally of good quality. Dumplings were good. Juicy, flavourful, quickly prepared and very reasonable in price. Noodles equally as good too. Customer service however could have been better - one person was on their phone at the table right next to the door and the other person was half asleep at the register. Both lacking interest in wanting to take my order. The restaurant looks a little dated and could do with a better clean/makeover - not saying that it wasn't clean, but it could be better. Nice place for a quick feed. Had the hot spicy beef plain noodle and the pork and chives dumplings, the noodles is not that spicy as advertised, and it is too greasy, but it is tasty and good.
