Z PATISSERIE西点特工（东区店） — Restaurant in Howick

A special shop if you want a special treat to yourself or spouse (or kids), or to anyone you consider special because that's what I've been doing every week since I've come across them during the lockdown days (in July 2022). I have been a regular happy customer. They have a great selection of best quality breads. Their staff are amazing and you get to see how they make their special breads. It's interesting how they come up with their store design.

They have daily specials so keep an eye on those!

My wife's absolute favorite is their hokkaido toast (we usually make French Toast out of it and it's perfect!). My favourite is their Condensed Milk Bread. I make sure I go and shop after lunch. They sell out pretty quickly.

5 star for their quality...

poor service : I had bad service with one of the stuff. that stuff was lean back on the counter using a phone in front of the cashier. She couldn't even notice that i was waiting in front of her because she was too busy with using the phone until l said 'Hello' twice. then she didn't say anything, just doing her job without speaking. I am disappointed about her rude attitude. i think self-checkout is even better than her. food : good but quite expensive for the amount of each bread. So...

Shops is nice and full of baked goods. Staff was nice too. Had the supreme croissant wheel, and we expected a lot as they claim they had inspiration from famous Lafayette NYC. Not exactly same as the pastry was not crunchy and not flakey enough. There was not enough filling and not enough pistachio flavor inside the cream. Not buttery, I doubt they used any real butter in this one. Not gonna buy it again but we can keep trying...
